There's another thing that's bothering me about this whole issue with where Mickey is. We know he got her somewhere around 2 a.m. We further know he showed up in New Orleans at a hospital around 10 p.m. We know it's roughly a 45 minute drive from Lafayete to Church Point taking back roads. We know it's about a 3 hour drive from Church Point to New Orleans. That leaves 16 hours unaccounted for.

I don't believe he would have brought her to his house. That would have put him driving in around 3 that morning. That's far too close to daylight in a rural community. Someone might have been up and seen something. He couldn't afford that. I also don't think he'd have risked traveling with her after daylight.

So, where on this route from Lafayette to Church Point could she be? I'm convinced there's some sort of unoccupied structure he's quite familiar with and that's where he took her. Looks to me, based on Google Maps, the best areas would be Hwy 95, or a road off of Hwy 95.

She has to be close to his house. It's the only thing that makes sense. In that 16 hours, he had to have time to commit the crime against her, clean himself and his truck, go home, shower, change and only God knows what else before leaving for New Orleans.

Nothing else makes any sense to me. Like I said, I think it's more simple than twisted. It just has to be.
---

I wish one of BSL's coworkers/other would chime in and let us know when he went back offshore after the abduction.

In addition to the initial 16 hours, he had days to relocate/hide a body. Just wish I knew how many before he back into the gulf.

And just to explain, so that I'm not accused of baiting:

<modsnip>

A poster here has a business <modsnip>, and found some surveillance footage of a white truck at about 3:25 a.m., heading north on University, not far south of I-10. Those stills were given to LE. They may have been passed to a couple WS members. They were never publicly released. They were never confirmed as being the correct truck. Remember how many DWTs there are in Lafayette.

What I do know is that I saw a still of what they confirmed as BSL's truck heading north on Bertrand at Devalcourt, taken from the Daily Advertiser building. I saw it myself.

I am taking LE at its word that they used footage from the Advertiser, and am frustrated at the continued insistence here that BSL was never on Bertrand.

Whatever happened to DyingToKnowTheTruth? She posted here and seemed sincere and seemed like she really wanted our help. She said she was getting verified and never came back. What happened?

She is still posting on topix. Last post on WS says she is waiting to become verified. I'm wondering if it isnt allowed since we arent supposed to be talking about that subject anyway??

Did they release the Bertrand pic to the public? Havent seen that one! Is that the same footage they were talking about that they took from the advertiser before his arrest?

Well, we know he was returning from offshore on the 5th of July. We also know he told he hairdresser he'd be gone for two weeks and would call her when he got back. It's safe to assume he went back to work on the 21st of June. Counting back two weeks, that would have put him home on June 7th from the previous hitch. And, the golden question is answered by counting back 14 days from there, which would have had him leaving May 24th. That gave him 5 days to maneuver.

Keep in mind, he's got to find time to go to two other hospitals, nurse a nice little cut on his thumb, drive to Texas, burn a truck, get home, buy another truck, etc., etc., etc.

That boy had a busy five days. I think she's still where he left her that night. I truly do.

I don't know if you have looked at last night's questions I posted for you, but you haven't answered any of them. I think I'm not the only one who would appreciate it if you would clarify what you're talking about, regarding BSL being seen on University, or please stop baiting us.
:twocents:

Oh, I didn't think she was baiting. Maybe I'm wrong. I never think there's a negative agenda. Fiddle-dee-dee.

I would have assumed she had something else to do and caught up backwards, like I do.

I start from the last page & work backwards. I gave up hope of catching up weeks ago. It's too much pressure.:peace:

Thank you GT. There was previous discussion that he maybe missed that May 24th hitch because of injuries.

Anyone know if he went to work on May 24th? Or did he have the 5 days plus another 14 to cover this tracks?

It WAS briefly released. I saw it... maybe on TV.

The problem now is that not only can't I find it -

I'm not so sure she died that very night. Like, say, by sunrise.

I too think she wasn't moved from wherever he left her. I'm just not so sure when that would have been. Before she was reported missing, probably.

I could be wrong, but if he took her for a reason, he may have kept her a while.

We don't know how long he was in the company of LP before her death.

It's a crummy thought, but there it is.

Can we really say he was on the 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off schedule. He could have been a temperary worker. We do know he was offshore 2 weeks late June... early July.

The problem now is that not only can't I find it - but when I go to Google, what comes up on it are Donamena's comments that it was on University, not Bertrand. She has infected Google too!!!

:banghead::banghead::banghead:

doña's quite a lady, but I doubt she's "infected google" ;)

google will pull from your history, you know. If I search Mickey Shunick, I get a zillion WS posts. :silly:

Someone who's never been here might get some news articles and a couple of WS threads

No, that's not true. We went round and round on it last night.. then she refused to answer my questions, while answering other posters both before and after my requests. She doesn't want to answer.

It would be nice to know if she has inside info or if this is just her opinion because she thinks it doesn't make sense (which im leaning towards it being her opinion)

She did do something way back in 99 and katc did make posts on their fb page about how they would not be reporting any stories that didn't have police reports to back them up. There were police reports to back up ch's story. She hopes he rots in hell because she holds him responsible for the death of her loved one that died in the accident. She blames him for the accident. Which supports her claims that he threatened and intimidated her. IMO katc would have had to make the entire hour long news all about that one interview and that they edited into whatever they wanted to. She wanted to remain annonymous Ans she dis not want her picture shown either.
Moo

This may be true however I won't be that quick to jump to conclusions. I only know what I saw in the interview. I haven't read anything in MSM that says BL is responsible for the accident.

He couldn't have gone offshore on May 24. Im guessing he didn't go on that hitch because of the injuries. If you recall he reported the truck stolen from TX on March 26. Checked in RSO status on the 28th, attended church on June 3, and bought new truck on June 4. I would have to guess he was not Offshore during this time.

Nt baiting anybody, CF. I've been posting for some time & you know that's not my style. I just:
Thought I remembered seeing another still that was not from Advertiser, &
Nothing would convince me that Devalcourt to Bertrand was th way he went, &
It doesn't look like Advertiser parking lot, anyway.

I go to bed early, CF. I don't do catch up. Why don't you post your questions again?
However, snark seems to be the style of a few posters here.
I realize we all disagree here, but sarcasm can stay at home, can't it? So can it's pathetic cousin, snarky.

And wow that the truck was captured at 3:25ish. That's an hour and a half in the area. I dont remember who posted it but the pulling behind the printer shop may not be too far off. the fact that the kidnapping charge and murder one charge are in the same jurisdiction shows that LE thinks Mickey was murdered in Laffy right? (Law is not my strong point so please correct me if this is not the case!) And I have heard from multiple locals about dogs catching scent around a printer. Does anyone know where this printer shop is located in relation to circle k and to daily advertiser?

It's her opinion, b/c it makes no sense to her. She cannot remember (jeez, what did 'fairest' say? ...ump-twenty threads ago), what she saw. Again, the route made no sense to her, & she respectfully disagreed, over & over. And, again, the parking lot doesn't look like the Advertiser. And someone did say that the stills from the Advertiser had not been released yet. And the cameras are at a different angle, if the other poster is too be remembered correctly.
She doesn't remember what SHE saw, but then, not everyone agreed w/ your pics, CF. everyone has had prob w/ pics. Especially Circle K.

You are exactly right. I've been off searching dates. I was thinking that couldn't be accurate, because if I remembered right, he applied to have his sex offender status changed on the 30th.

So, now we know he had 19 days. I still say he spent that time separating himself from her as much as he could.

I would guess he for sure wouldn't have done anything that could have transferred evidence after the 26th of May. I'm convinced he got rid of that truck to get rid of evidence. He's no genius, but he's not stupid. I don't think he'd risk contaminating either the alleged rental or replacement truck with evidence.

I brought them over from the last page for you:
From chicken fried -
"DONAMENA,

Here again for your convenience is one of my posts. I'm sorry if it came off a little sharp, but I am getting very frustrated with you because whether you intend to or not, I feel like you are baiting and toying with us:

Quote:
As a courtesy to other posters, will you please explain just what in sam hill you are talking about? I have followed this case from the beginning and you have totally confused me. I am totally lost.

Please link your source for saying that BSL took Devalcourt. I have never heard anything like this.

PLease explain what "still" you are talking about. I am aware of some images taken on University Ave. around 3 a.m. <modsnip> that were passed around by a WS poster, but I have never seen them released in the media.

I'm starting to think that you have seen that privately distributed photo, and confused it with the photo that was released from the Advertiser tape - I did see it once, when it came out - from the Advertiser tape on BERTRAND.

Either way, please explain what you are talking about, because if you have totally confused me, who has closely followed this case, then it's possible that you have totally confused others.

You are trying to convince people that BSL did not take Bertrand.

Please explain on what grounds you are calling out LPD for distributing false information.

Thank you."

Now I gotta get back to work.

Have a great day!:seeya:
