Does anyone know if media will be allowed in the courtroom tomorrow?

From this section in the article it sounds like it.

The tiny courtroom only holds about 12 visitors, though, which may not be sufficient to accommodate all the news media and interested residents who might want to attend.

If need be, Clause said he may consider moving the arraignment to the parish courthouse across the street.

Just wondering, why exactly is Brandons arraignment being held at the jail court room?

This article states the reason why...

Fifteenth Judicial District Judge Herman Clause said he scheduled Lavergne’s arraignment in a small courtroom attached to the jail. A glass partition will separate onlookers from Lavergne, the attorneys and judge.

“It made sense because of security problems and all,” Clause said told The Daily Advertiser this afternoon. “Its the most secure courtroom that we have.”

Yes he was dishonorably discharged shortly after he was sentenced in Feb 2000.

I keep looking for the "like" button like I would use on Facebook and wonder if I can use the "thanks" button in that manner even if the post wasn't particularly useful?

Cajun_Girl, I use the "Thanks" button here in WS like the "like" in FB. I click on "Thanks" when the post is something new and creative, or when I agree with the post, or to acknowledge Mod coaching, or to show I appreciate someone's humor. I believe all these reasons are OK, but if I am mistaken, hopefully someone will turn me in the right direction too. :fence:

Wondering whether LE will have another bombshell tomorrow? They sure kept the charges re: LP on the down low until the GJ.

Wonder whether the evidence pulled from his trailer/property and LE's subsequent investigations have yielded yet an additional victim (s). And if that were to be the case, would that be added to the process tomorrow?

They would need to get an indictment, I believe, before they could charge him with anything new. I think it will all be very perfunctory tomorrow, the charges read out, the plea of "Not Guilty" and he will be bound over for trial. JMO

Call this rumor if you want, since I have no MSM link for it...but I know someone who works in the jail and we were texting tonight and she said BSL really creeps her out. Every time she sees him he looks angry and just scares her. I can't imagine having to see him everyday at my job! And no, she hasn't told me anything else. She isn't allowed to tell inside information, or post about the inmates on social media sites and I tried not to ask her anything that she wasn't allowed to tell me. But I just shuddered when she said that he scares her.

I believe it, and I don't think this is a guy who plans on confessing to anything, or helping Mickey's family find any semblance of peace.

Also listed on his profile, it states he has a 32 year old relative (it lists her name) that lives in Highlands, TX.

It's actually kind of scary how much information that site has about him. And that's just in the "preview" section.

Someone please list the locations of LTC schools again. I saw one on a street that I also saw listed as one of the streets his truck was on I think. What were the locations of that school in Lafayette? I bet he went to one of those locations while he was in Avoyelles Parish jail. Lautercourt or something like that? Which schools are located IN Lafayette? Which of those campuses offer diesel mechanics that are either near Church Point or near Lafayette?

I just want to note that LTC has gone through some major restructuring over the last decade. I'm not sure if all of the program locations would be accurate for 2006.

Also, his other profile says CLTC, which is an entirely different school system.

He's been held in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center since he was charged with aggravated kidnapping and first degree murder in Mickey Shunick's disappearance. During a grand jury hearing, jurors indicted him on those charges and indicted him in the murder of Lisa Pate. Shunick was last seen on May 19, and Pate's remains were found 13 years ago in September 1999 in Acadia Parish."

I don't think a change of venue would be the end of the world. It may end up being necessary, especially if they do finally link him to other crimes. I know the prosecution hates it, and it adds a lot to expense, but whatever gets it done in the best possible way toward a conviction. At least it would make for one less appeal issue, there will be all of the automatics, plus who knows what else.

There is one I. Jennings and one in Lake Charles. I didn't include it because it seemed extremely fabricated IMO. The dates that were listed for it was at the beginning of his incarceration IIRC

All of those profiles had his pictures, so it wasn't a different BSL, but it might just be how he claimed to "work for the state" while being imprisoned, ha.
