BSL's girlfriend is a petite blonde. So my question is, how does he separate "oh, I'll be in a relationship with you". Or " oh, your my next victim"

WEIRD!

My opinion is it could be as simple as liking someone. I'm no psychopath, but if I stranger cuts me off in the road, I curse them out and flip them off. Someone I vaguely recognize as a local? I think about it first, and might feel more remorse after, but I curse them out and flip them off. Someone I like? I tell them they are a chucklehead and lovingly mock them whenever they mention driving but I never feel that same rage.

I truly do agree with you on that. I think he's been given too much credit for being methodical. I think he's a predator and will scoop whatever's easiest.

I think what we're starting to notice is there seems to be a pattern of obsessiveness with him.

Someone had said that his house was immaculately kept, based on the pictures they had seen of the inside. He seemed to zoom in on the hairdresser...Owning all the cars...All the fires. Just so many things point to it.

There could be a number of reasons for any of these such things. I think everyone's just trying to wrap their head around this guy and look for anything. If a pattern of behavior could be established, it may be easier to find Mickey.

BS Lavergne has all the traits and characteristics of a very calculating and manipulative serial killer.

The bump & grab of the bicycle is a very rare MO in an abduction. He is well versed on LE investigative strategies & SOPs, as well as being forensically aware, imo..

Experienced/recidivist Sadistic psychopathic sexual predators are very calculating, creative, deflective, and elusive.

Unfortunately, it is often the case that serial offenders will rely on jurisdictional boundaries of LE to hamper investigations and cause linkage blindness in their crimes. ...

"Jurisdictional Linkage Blindness, calculated by BSL in Mickey Schunick's abduction and during the aftermath"

Imo, there is only one investigative tool that LE has that timely prevents jurisdictional linkage blindness; 'the American public via the MS Media'...FBI VICAP is also another very effective tool for tracking MOs & crime patterns & preventing jurisdictional blindness. Due to the lag in time of entering crime data in to the system. It may take months for crime patterns to emerge.

* Preliminary list with known info-

BSL's Home - 1 LE Jurisdiction

MS Abduction - 2 LE Jurisdiction

Bike Disposal - 3 LE Jurisdiction

Hospital NOLO - 4 LE Jurisdiction

Opelousas General - 5 LE Jurisdiction

Stolen DW Truck Report - 6 LE Jurisdiction -Texas

Burned/Stripped DW Truck - 7 LE Jurisdiction - Texas

'LOL, psychopaths seldom admit to being psychopaths'...
According to statistics, aproximately 05% of the members & lurkers on this board have psychopathic personalities...

Imo, a psychopathic predator would choose a person for a relationship that they could manipulate & dominate.
As unsuspecting victims are only disposable objects to psychopathic predators. It would be unlikely that they would want to build a prior personal connection or relationship with them.

Imo, it is more about the body size of the victim. The predator would be aware of the pattern being established by abducting victims with like features.

I know this might be off topic...but to hit a bike traveling at a pretty good speed and a truck traveling behind the bike at a pretty good speed ..seems would cause a lot more damage than a bent tire? I pass people in the bike lanes down here in fl all the time..and i drive a smaller car ..it would send them flying if i were to acc hit them. How did he know that she wouldn't be killed when he hit her from behind? That would defeat the purpose of what he had in mind? And i still think that their would be some kind of evidence on the road if this happened. I don't know..a bump and grab just seems crazy to me....jmo..but i think she would have had to be stopped somewhere for him to do this without much damage?

I know, I have been trying to picture this for two months now. If he had been creeping along behind her, you would think she would notice and get out of his way. If he chased her and hit her, as you said there should have been clues on the road and more damage to bike. Also, apparently she never used her phone, so if she was being followed from another street, she seemed not to notice. I wonder if we will ever know exactly what happened; I guess it depends on what the video shows, as we won't be hearing any truths from him.

Kateinfl, we discussed this a few threads back.. It would require very good driving skills & finess to disable someone on a bike without causing considerable damage to them or the bike. Bump and grabs are very rare, but a few weeks after Mickey's abduction, in Raleigh, NC there was another bump & grab on a bicycle where a successful ruse was used by the perp to get the coed victim in his vehicle by offering to take her home. She fought him & escaped.

Imo, BS Lavergne used this method due to its rarity, as well as the creative cover established in the abduction. If witnessed or if LE accidently showed up, until there was actually an assault made. BSL would only be written up for a traffic accident.

Imo, BSL attempted a similar ruse on Mickey Schunick, but due to her instincts and refusal to voluntarily get in his vehicle. BSL, either had to use physical force or threatened her with a deadly weapon to gain compliance.

At this point Mickey Schunick would have been faced with three choices; flight, fight, or submission. I think that is fairly obvious of her choice due to the stab wounds, and other injuries BS Laverne received on 05/19/2012.

BSL, removed her bike to buy time, and may have cleaned the crime scene of other incriminating residue.

Maybe she attacked him when he bent over to pick up her bike ... The only way he could have gotten her an the bike in the truck is either she was knocked out an he put her in the truck then grabbed the bike or he had her thrown over his shoulder an grabbed the bike ... If he had her over his shoulder that could be where the back stab wounds came from ... But that would be a big scene for no one to notice.

could this be Mickey?? We know he was in Texas, and I have HEARD (could be a rumor) that he went all the way to New Mexico

I can't find anymore on this body? The articles on finding it came out on the 27th. Has anyone heard more?

then again, i don't think he'd take her all the way to Texas. I guess I just want her to be found so badly that I'm not thinking logically.

Geaux Tigers, there will be a drug connection in BS Lavergne's trail of terror. Either directly or indirectly, imo..
'We may have to wait 2/3 years til the trial for tranparency, but there will be a connection, imo, & prolly meth'...

Opiates and benzodiazepines from what I know of in the Churchpoint area. There are pain clinics in Houston where people can go and get prescriptions. There is also a
Opiate Replacement Center in Breaux Bridge.

There have been a number of overdoses in CP. I wonder when all that is found is bones how they determine the cause of death to be asphyxiation? They must have found something of importance of Lisa's to connect her with BSL,otherwise how do they know she didn't relapse on drugs, overdose and someone was afraid of calling the cops so they hid her body behind an empty house.

BSL's dads house burned down according to the neighbor within recent years. Does anyone know when? Which Dad was this? Adopted or deceased Stepdad? Maybe BSL was able to collect insurance money from that, buy the trailer he was living in. Maybe after his Dads home burned down he had saved enough money to buy this trailer and the land from the previous owner.

IMPondering, many reasons, but mainly observations of patterns from researching sexual predators & psychopathic serial killers from the 1980s to the present.
There seems to be the common denominator of methamphetamine use/abuse. From Pastors to Politicians, seems no one is excluded. Meth seems to be the catalyst for psychopaths to act out their fantasies, and create new psychopathic tendencies in otherwise normal personalities..

Just my opinion and observations, IMPondering..
Wished some of our more studied members would contribute their thoughts on the possible Meth connection..

I have been to a lot of support groups for survivors of incest/childhood sexual abuse. I have heard a lot of horror stories. A great many of the worst involve abusers using crystal meth. Sure, some abusers drank or smoked pot or did coke. But the level and intensity of abuse done by meth freaks is unreal in comparison. The meth addicts took things to the worst extremes, took heavier risks, did the most sadistic things, and could go on for days. The drunks passed out sooner, were weaker, and were miserable. But it seems that the meth freaks could do unspeakable harm over days on end, and show little mercy to their victims.

In cases of random abductions, I think meth use is quite prevalent.

JMO...I don't think he was on work release, he was released early due to overcrowding and I like this state, ent they use, "a model prisoner". He had to report To a parol officer X times per month and they should have been making routi e "check ins" at his home. (I doubt the check ins happened, kind of like the Dugard case, if they REALLY CHECKED, they would have found her) and I think if they really checked they would have seen he was up to no good then.

House arrest does usually involve a monitor but doesn't have to. It's more of a curfew. I found an RSO living in my neighborhood that I knew nothing about until I checked the register...he violated his order which was to live with his Momma. He moved to my neighborhood due to be closer to his job. Anyway, the judge ordered a fine to be paid, a curfew set, and regular check-ins. In fact, our city is in a huge dispute with RSOs having to pay at least $500 per month to help keep the cost of informing the public and the likes (expenses). Some lawyer, representing RSOs said, it was unconstitutional and violated their rights with such high fees. I said, you loose your rights when you do this type of felony, so what does it matter?

I am curious as to who investigated Lisa's remains as they may have been found in Acadia Parish which is not the same Parish as BSLs which is St Landry. That area changes parishes.

The DA from Calcasieu Parish, along with the DAs from counties between Beaumont to Houstin have some kind of "joint task force" cracking down on pain management centers. What I mean by that is, regulating them. Not just any Joe Blow thats a doctor can open up a place & call it "pain management". A doctor here LC was. Used for that exact thing...he was allegedly running a weight loss/pain management center, when anyone could walk in, complain about this or that pain, and he wrote the prescriptions. Same with the weight loss, even after Phen-Fen was causing so much uproar. So, Dr. Full O. Crap got busted, got his license suspended here & I heard he took off to Texas to practice.

I'm just passing on what I have been told by several
addicts in the CP area.

I have to say something about Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center...the RSO ate not allowed out of their cells; they are allowed a spiritual advisor, a bible & paperback books to read. As far as the education, the do offer GED & some mail order BIblical studies but CCC feels that's the only thing you need in jail, a chance to repent! I know because as a minister I've put in my application & there is EXTENSIVE training for this (so you don't get conned) but just like Burl Cain, he wants spiritual needs to be met & that's it.

I can tell you right now MOST criminal defense attorneys do NOT make a lot of money. Unless they are well known celebrity attorneys(think OJ). In cases such as BSL's the defendants are usually not wealthy and can not afford attorneys in the same stratosphere as Cochran, Shapiro, and F. Lee Bailey. Most are relegated to having court appointed Public Defenders, and these defenders don't make much AT ALL. My husband is an attorney and clerked at a local office for public defenders. He's also been appointed by the courts of La. to do pro bono criminal defense and worked with other public defenders who's only job is capital criminal defense around the country. These people make little to NO money doing this. And it cracks me up how people think that all criminal defense lawyers make mucho dinero. There's a HUGE distinction between Defense Attorneys and CRIMINAL defense attorney's pay.

Not true, my old boss charged $10 K up front & $300 for research, $1k an hour for travel/court, the paralegal (me) the fee was $45/hr. if we did an appeal it was $25k UP FRONT the the hourly costs...the reason IT IS expensive to hire a criminal defense attorney (private not Public Defender)... A public Defender only make about $40k PER YEAR. Now due to budget cuts, I know Calcasieu is asking or rather "rotating" the criminal cases to attorneys in the area. That's why if you have a "paying client" it's so expensive.

  • #500
I know an attorney in Alexandria that charges $100k per criminal case...his consultation fee is not free but $300-500/hour.
