Was that the same day as the other hospital visits?

No, it wasn't.

I've got to believe that LE is sitting on something spectacular. I mean, I know they have something, but whatever it is, it must be unequivocally premeditated murder worthy, which leaves me feeling every day like we are just spinning our wheels on the same old stuff. It's frustrating to me, and to y'all as well I'm sure. Guess I just had to throw that out there. :maddening:

Not brave at all!

I did call Mr. Abdella, and he seemed interested in this area. I also mentioned the pits across the highway, and the coolie. He said he would see about having it searched. I just don't think any possibility should be ruled out. If nothing comes from this place, at least it will be one more place ruled out.

I would like to give you a double... Thank you...but can not do it on WS...so I must say Thank you....Tru Trooper....:rocker:

One woman who was murdered and a possible victim of DTL was found 3 weeks after she disappeared and her remains consisted only of some (not all) bones, in that short time. This was in May-June of 2002, I believe. (Christine Moore) Due to what was called "complete decomposition" they were unable to find any clues, just an injury to her skull.

I guess I am shocked by the short amount of time that so little of her body could be found, although of course with the heat and humidity, I shouldn't be. Still, it is a terrible thought.

I think it was said on this board that Lisa Pate died of asphyxiation. My guess is that if mickey is not alive like LE thinks, strangulation wasn't the cause since it's very hard to find evidence of such without a body. If bsl does have more victims, but uses different methods, it would make it a lot harder to get an accurate count of any murders he may be involved in if he isn't like most repeat murderers who use the same method over and over.

JMO-
BSL lives at least 7 miles north of the town of CP. There ate miles and
miles of dirt and gravel roads, fields, woods, barns, etc around. To me it doesn't make much sense for him to drive 35 minutes in to CP from Lafayette to the old refinery coming in to CP. Also there is a road that goes down by the refinery, St Raphael, and there are a few houses on it.

I'm starting to wonder if he didnt take Mickey out to near his Duson property, fought with her, disposed of her, hid the bike, went to his moms six miles away(maybe had a key), showered and slept, maybe gave her some BS story, then got up and went to NO

That would make sense but how do you explain LP being found where she was found? Not to far from BSL current location. Seems he did it once and got away with it, makes perfect sense he would do it again!

How long did it take for them to bring DTL to trial? I don't remember, but it didn't seem that long.

Where did you find pictures of him and his girlfriend??

The ones I saw were on a FB page because we have friends in common and I suppose the setting was friends of friends are able to see all photos. Those who do not have friends in common were unable to see the photos I am speaking of.

Come home Mickey! Show someone in LE or Texas Equusearch where you are!

Just about 14 months after arrest.

I am sorry I fell behind in the threads this weekend, so I apologize if this has been discussed.

Is it possible he removed the hand grips on the bike because he rode it somewhere? In his mind, separating the bike and handgrips should have removed DNA evidence? Chicken you were there, could he have riden the bike down to the water to throw it in?

Altemio Sanchez, the bike path rapist, drove the victims car to another location to draw suspicion from the area of his attack.

Also, I keep thinking that BSL wounds may have been caused by a good samaritan who witnessed something of Mickey's abduction and tried to intervene. I keep checking the news to see if there is a man/women that went missing on May 19. jmo

I was wondering if the reason Mickey is not listed on any 'missing' websites is because LE has some definite proof that she isn't alive? What do ya'll think?

I watch Discovery ID all the time but must have missed this. Been perusing youtube today watching HBO: Autopsy and this was a related link. Documentary on DTL.

In Search of Derrick Todd Lee: The Internet Social Movement That Made a difference..

This book is about criminologist Maurice Godwin's Internet social movement that sprang to life during the Baton Rouge serial murder case. The movement was a response to the Task Force failing to find serial killer Derrick Todd Lee, as citizens in Baton Rouge, South Louisiana, and South Mississippi no longer wished to wait in fear. This is a story of citizen empowerment in a time of crisis. Both scholars and ordinary citizens will be inspired by the way the people in Baton Rouge helped themselves by putting pressure on investigators for improved results. Godwin's innovative Internet movement, involving geographic mapping and online discussions with Baton Rouge citizens, developed into a hub of information to expedite the finding and arrest of Lee. The author sociologically describes and analyzes the key players, the major controversies, and the internal dynamics of the movement that led to the arrest of the serial killer on May 27, 2003.

IMO they must have proof or she would have been listed by now.
I have my own opinion as to what that is and it makes me ill.

I never considered that he took her to a location other than his home, but that very well could be. The reason is that he had a girlfriend and maybe he would not want her to drive by or whatever. The idea that he took her to a different house or whatever makes sense. <modsnip> I am still not letting him off on that pressure washer burglary/arson.

I do remember the story about the fire and the pressure washers being stolen.
When was that? (in relation to Mickey's abduction) it wasn't the same night was it?

I feel like she is close to his home, possibly on family property. It's just a feeling though.

They must have absolute proof that he murdered her.
What can that be without a body? Did they have this evidence before the arrest or after the house search?
Was he first arrested for a problem with RSO status and later charged with murder one?
They probably have his truck and plates on video, maybe even with her in the truck. That is a nail in his coffin but ot enough for murder one. Finding his DNA at wb or on the bike would be big as far as evidence goes but not enough to prove murder one.

I have seen speculation about possible poison ivy \ reaction to pepper spray on BS Lavergne's hands. Do we know when this was first noticed? I may have missed this. I was cleaning my house and just thought could it be burns\blisters from bleach on his hands? Would bleach burns look similiar to posion ivy blisters\rash?
