I am not saying this is not true but I have not heard this as fact. If it is a fact, you should definitely post the link as it could change my opinion.

Not a fact but someone close to me told me a fraternity member was told by LE the weekend it happened that the abduction happened on Coliseum.

BBM...I try very hard not to overlook anyone's posts. Someone may post only once, and be the very post that leads to Mickey. Thanks for your input, no matter how limited it is!

I promise I didn't mean to be redundant but there are 2 different katc pages that lead different places. The written one then the one with the video. I know I'd rather watch a movie than read a book lol so I reposted for any that might have missed it!

IMO
Continued tampering could mean taking photos after he killed her. It could mean he moved her body from his first location to a second.

I wish some of the attorneys on here would let us know exacting what tampering of the body is in legal terms.

There are also two warrants to install tracking devices. One was from the 15th JDC in Lafayette; the other warrant was for the 2009 Silverado, belonging to Lavergne, from the 25th JDC in Plaquemines Parish.

I find this interesting they were tracking him in Plaquemines parish any one remember when he was offshore.

I just asking a lawyer who is a close personal friend. His answer was "Touching it, looking for money, robbing it basically". I hate to use "it" referencing to a person (Mickey) but I'm quoting him

I wonder about the three grave sites that were dug up at a cemetery near his home. Le found nothing there but could he have placed her there initially and moved her later?

I am heartened and at the same time sickened by the latest news. I hope this sick, evil man (or his accomplice, if he has one) will tell us where Mickey lies.
With all the searching that has taken place over the past weeks, I also fear that he may have used a similar technique to Jaren Lockhart's murderer(s). It hurts to even think of that, and I prefer to visualize this instead:

To paraphrase Shakespeare:

"When she shall die,
Take her and cut her out in little stars,
And she will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.”

:rose:

Bring Sweet Mickey Home To Her Family Now

One thing I didnt quite get...my understanding was LE got a warrant for a tracking device on his new truck?? Is that a reference to OnStar also, or were they physically going to put a tracking device on his new truck? If the latter, it seems like that would be useless if it didnt happen before he was arrested...and if it did happen before then WHEN did it happen??

What about continued tampering?

Very good point!

When a suspect requests an attorney, the interview must end.

BSL knows the ropes, this is certainly not his first brush with LE, but hopefully will be his last crime.
The dogs and searchers are working in extreme heat and rough terrain. Very dedicated people who project the goodness in humanity, totally the opposite of what BSL represents. A stark contrast of good and evil.
Really hope Mickey will be found soon.
Prayers for she and her family and everyone concerned for her, both friends, strangers and all who have come to know and love her in her tragic loss.

Oh I know, I am aware of that. It is normal now for members to wane now especially since there is an arrest, we are waiting for trial, there hasn't been new info for a while, etc. But members have announced in these threads they are leaving because of the DWT convo multiple times and there has always been a dip in convo afterwards because of this even when we had lots of people here. Just don't want to see it happen again especially when we're already so low on sleuthers! And yes I recognize you as one of the originals from the beginning SteveP! :seeya:

Danzn, please do not take this in a bad or snarky way because I have the utmost respect for your opinions and posts and I feel you have been very active and genuine in trying to find Mickey and get to the bottom of the truth.

In all due respect, much of the back and forth and frustration begins when someone asks others to move on and not to discuss this theory or another. It is almost like saying that a members opinion is not welcome because the general majority does not agree with it.

There are a lot of new people here that may very well want to discuss it and I think that is their right. And I think they should be able to discuss this theory and give their own opinions without worrying about being in the hot seat.

As the poster stated...she didn't expect an answer because she knew it was a bad subject. I don't think anyone should have to feel that any subject is a bad subject. We are all here for the same reason.

I'm not sure if that was her usual path or not. She didn't take the route that BW thought she would have so I'm not sure if anyone knew her usual route or not or if she changed it up sometimes. That seems the most likely place it would have happened because it is so dark and isolated. It hasn't changed at all and even more isolated with Lourdes Hospital vacant right before there.

Past the hospital and St Julien St on St Landry you have several blocks of houses with speed bumps in the road.Unless he accidentally hit her going too fast over a speed bump there and offered her a ride that short stretch seems less likely to me due to the number of small
houses there which leaves near Lourdes or further down by the Colliseum.
However either Chicken Fried or ACI spoke with security at Lourdes who had previously seen Mickey turn down St Julien on several occaissions. Unless BSL speaks we may never know.

Would that include necrophilia? Or is there a separate charge for that?

Portion of the article

The court record filed by the DA's office also claims the following information is fact: On or about May 19, 2012, Lavergne forcibly seized Mickey Shunick and carried her to another place where he refused to release her. It is alleged Lavergne "forced her to engage in non-consensual acts, and inflicted physical injury and/or sexual abuse". The document says Lavergne killed Mickey and moved evidence of the murder, including her body and belongings, "to locations with the intent to distort the results of the criminal investigation." Lavergne is also accused of obstruction of justice and the continued tampering of the body of Mickey Shunick. The state also adds that anyone knowing where Mickey's body may be could be charged with Accessories After the Fact.

I know I am not on everyones favorite side today so please do not beat me up for saying this ;) But I think this is a very typical statement for this type of crime where a person is kidnapped, sexually assaulted, killed and then disposed of.

Unless there is more, I don't think he held her for any length of time and likely all of these acts were committed in close sequence of one another.

It does appear they may suspect someone has knowledge of the crime.

I just cannot believe someone would have knowledge of the crime and not do anything about it. This is almost as bad as what BSL has done!

He is on vacation and only texted that quick response to me. I will google it and see what I come up with to get a more detailed answer.

Explaining why the death penalty is wanted, the filing claims that the murders were committed "in an especially heinous, atrocious, or cruel manner" and that Lavergne has "knowingly killed two or more persons" in separate incidents.

"Two or more". This is subtle but screams loud

I have referred to it a few times but that picture of the work room at the Elaine St. address when it was for sale...looks like it contains some torturous items. I will try and post it. More big saws than most people would have.

They could have survived the fire.
