Do you know me? Sheriff searching for guardians of special needs child
The little girl was found Thursday morning, around 7:30am at Jefferson Lakes Apartments. The complex is near the intersection of Jefferson Hwy. and Airline Hwy. The child was found near building 12 by a resident of the apartment complex.
She is around 4 to 5 years old and was found wearing blue Dora pajama bottoms and a child size Southern University t-shirt.
"It's believed she is special needs because she cannot tell us her name," Casey Hicks, EBRSO, said. "It's possible she lives in the apartment complex, but we do not know that for sure. We are asking for the public's assistance to determine who her parents are."
