LA - Bella Fontenelle, 6, crammed into bucket left on bio mom's lawn, Hannah Landon, 43, arrested, Harahan, 26 Apr 2023

Trial ser to begin "Monday". It was written an hour ago. I'm guessing it's next Monday, but not positive.

She buried her phone.... Wonder what's on it!!!!!

They also described the bucket as a "bloody bucket". I cannot imagine what this baby went through.

this is going to be an awful one to follow. I don't know that I can handle the details likely to come about this little girl's suffering.

It's going to be awful. If I didn't have so much going on, I would consider seeing if it is open court and attend. But I have a feeling reading the details is already going to be just horrific.

I wasn't sure if it was the same article, but I think it is. Really, really awful. Poor baby told people. Dad knew. Why did he even have partial custody???

The mom did find the bucket .... I am so glad it doesn't seem that she opened it. This is just brutal.

This article is even worse. So mom "knew" it was Bella inside the bucket. Had a gut feeling.

I generally don't shy away from posting details bc it is a true crime forum. Every case is awful. But I just can't on this. So read

I'm following this.
My former boss is the District Attorney in Jefferson Parish where this case is being heard. I'm retired so I have no inside information, which I couldn't post even if I did. Lol.
I figured you Sleuths would have more info on this case than local t.v. has.
This hit me hard. I know none of the people involved but I know the neighborhood.
This is a heartbreaker.

Hey, neighbor! I am also in Jefferson Parish. This is so so bad......

This article talks about Dad and grandmothers testimony. I feel confident she will be convicted. But it doesn't make any of this any easier. The poor jurors.

DIFFICULT DETAIL AHEAD...
I saw another article on NOLA dot com that is behind a paywall that has details this article does not. It said she was likely alive when placed in the bucket :(

Family law... that's the way they rule. It's idiotic but "50/50 custody" becomes default oftentimes, and courts can't tell parents what to do in terms of who they allow into their own home.

Sounds like the mom and dad lived nearby in order to be able to co-parent the kids, props to them for that. Dad met Bunnak/Hannah/Valentina as far back as 2019 (says she moved in with him as she couldn't work as a dancer due to pandemic), and there was underlying conflict between Bunnak and mom of Bella - even to the point that dad of Bella had to intervene. Not a good sign.

Ugh. Sad goes and reports his daughter and his "sweetheart" are missing to the police? Who does that....

Bella was described as melancholy and cried daily at school...... She didn't want to be with Dad and ms. Hannah. My heart hurts so much for this baby.
