He has blue eyes, strawberry blonde hair and a number of tattoos on his arms, chest and fingers, Hudson said. He was last seen wearing a black, short-sleeve t-shirt with a white emblem on the shirt. He was also wearing blue jeans and white Nike tennis shoes.

Parnell has tattoos that spell out “TAP OUT” on the left side of his chin and “PATSY” on the left side of his neck. He also has a tattoo of a four-leaf clover next to his left eye.
He was last driving a white Chevrolet full-size work van bearing the license plate number VFA-559.

How strange that the very same day the missing report appears in the media, his body is found.

Sending prayers for his family.

RIP, Brandon.

It is very strange! I know that is possible (and probable) that he was in the river all along but it's crazy he was found the same day.
RIP, Brandon.
and thank God someone wanted to fish at 2am. At the very least, that fisherman brought Brandon home for a proper burial.

From October 2014:

http://theadvocate.com/news/10367761-65/denham-springs-man-enters-insanity

A Denham Springs man facing a count of second-degree murder pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity Thursday in a case involving a body found shot in the head and floating in the Blind River Canal in 2013.

In a brief hearing, Joshua M. Mitchell changed his plea from not guilty in the 21st Judicial Circuit Court in Livingston before Judge Elizabeth Wolfe.

Detectives have said they believe Mitchell shot 26-year-old Brandon Steele Parnell while they were on a highway in the Denham Springs area in February 2013. They think he then drove to St. James Parish and dumped the body in the canal near U.S. 61 just north of Gramercy.
