The Estherwood Police Department, working with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office, request the public’s assistance to locate a missing person.

Cassandra Leleux was last spoken to on June 29, 2019 during the afternoon hours. Leleux was in the Lake Charles area returning to Estherwood from a visit and has not been heard from since.

Cassandra Leleux is a white female, 41 years of age. She is 5’2 in height, weighing 140-160 pounds. She has reddish brown hair with a medium build.

Leleux was driving 2006 Toyota Sienna van similar to the stock photo provided.

If anyone has information on her whereabouts, you are asked to call APSO at 788-8772

Interesting information in this article:

Search ongoing for Estherwood woman missing since Saturday

. . .A Facebook post from the Estherwood Police Department said video footage shows Leleux leaving Lake Charles and driving east on U.S. 90 toward Estherwood at about 4:30 p.m. Gibson said Leleux was driving a 2006 Toyota Sienna van when she was last seen. . .

Here is a possible route she drove on google maps. As the article did not state where on Hwy 90 Cassandra was seen, I just chose a town midway between Lake Charles and Estherwood:

Whenever you are driving in Louisiana, bodies of water/swamps are a concern, IMO.

Based on that route, and that law enforcement has already used video footage to see her leaving Lake Charles, hopefully they are getting and/or looking through footage at various way points to see if they see her car go by. Gas stations with cameras to catch drive offs would be the best bet. It would be nice to know if she made it as far as Iowa, Welsh, or Jennings.
