  • Date of Birth: January 26, 1955
  • Age: 31 years old
  • Race: White/Caucasian
  • Gender: Female
  • Height: 5' 4" (64 inches)
  • Weight: 115 lbs
  • Hair Color: Sandy brown
  • Eye Color: Blue
  • Nickname/Alias: Unknown
  • Distinguishing Marks/Features: Pierced ears. Wears eyeglasses for reading but they were left behind.
  • Clothing & Personal Items: Possibly a blue windbreaker with the U.S. Postal Service logo.
  • Identifiers: DNA available.
  • Other: Medical - Suffers from profound hearing loss and was wearing a hearing aid at the time of her disappearance.
Circumstances of Disappearance:
Woodson was last seen in Pineville, Louisiana on March 1, 1986. She had separated from her husband 10 months prior and was living at Pine Highland Apartments in the 1800 block of Sunburst Lane, off Highway 28, with their two sons. Between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m, she left with a male friend in his truck but returned about 15 minutes later stating she felt ill. She failed to show up for her job that night at the post office in Alexandria, Louisiana and has never been heard from again.

On March 4, Woodson's estranged husband called the police after he went to her apartment and found it locked with their five and seven-year-old sons left alone on the balcony. Police noted that Woodson's late model beige two-door Mercury Lynx was in parking lot as usual. There were no signs of a disturbance or foul play inside her residence. The tub was full of soapy water, as if she had been interrupted while taking a bath, and there were two glasses on the kitchen counter.

About a month after she was last seen, Woodson's purse was found by fishermen hanging on a limb in Flagon Creek along Highway 28 east, near Esler Regional Airport, east of Pineville. Her wallet, driver's license, credit cards, and photos of her sons were located inside, but there was no money found. Her eyeglasses were also in the purse and one of the lenses was broken.

Woodson never picked up her last paycheck and her family reported that she liked her job and wouldn't have quit without giving notice. It was also uncharacteristic of her to leave without warning and abandon her children. After her disappearance, they spent some time living with their father and were later sent to an orphanage.

Despite extensive searches conducted with the aid of a helicopter, Woodson has never been located. Her family believes she met with foul play. Her whereabouts remain unknown.

THIS IS MY AUNT!

This my mother. I believe it to be a cover up. I am trying to get some national attention on this in order to get something done. I have been told time and time again that "hands are tied up" with the investigation. The case is now 39 years old. I was 7 at the time it happened. My little brother was 5 at the time. He has since been adopted to the "Kelley" side of the family and has nothing to do with this case. My Great Uncle was the voice of the investigation but has since quietly stepped away. I believe law enforcement has been protecting someone that is involved in this case. I also believe that law enforcement doesn't want family to continue to pursue the case, so they won't have to solve it. The case has now been considered a murder. The body of my mother has yet to be found. While family members have given up on this case, I will not faulter until I can give my mother a proper burial.

I wonder about the "friend" she was last seen with. How well did she actually know him and who were his associates? Was his allegedly bringing her home sick and dropping her off at her mailbox meant to be an alibi? Interesting that someone apparently witnessed Debra leaving with him, but no actual witnesses to her return. Hmmm....
Also, there are differing versions of who got sick....
The entire account is full of red flags, imo.
All jmo
