Deion Declouette’s mother tells News 10 that her son was last seen in Eunice, not Lafayette as reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. She also said that his car was found abandoned in Opelousas, not Lafayette.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s detectives told News 10 they could not confirm the mother’s information at this time.

Going with info from LE.

Looks like he was involved in an ongoing feud in 2020 - wonder if that is still ongoing:

"Two men were arrested in a Friday shooting on Garland Avenue in Opelousas, including one of the brothers injured in the incident.

Deion Declouette, 21, of Opelousas, was booked on attempted second-degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm, simple escape and resisting an officer, while 18-year-old Jadakiss Thomas, of Opelousas, was booked on three counts of attempted second-degree murder, a statement from Opelousas Police spokesman Maj. Mark Guidry said.

The shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Garland Avenue. Declouette and Thomas allegedly exchanged gunfire, possibly as the result of an ongoing feud that was exacerbated by an assault committed earlier Friday, the statement said.

Declouette and his brother were shot. Declouette suffered a non-life-threatening injury, but his brother was seriously injured after being shot in the upper torso. He was taken to an Opelousas hospital before being helicoptered to a Lafayette hospital for treatment. He remained hospitalized in serious condition as of Saturday morning, Guidry said."

Two men arrested in Opelousas shooting; brother of suspect remains in serious condition

Edited to add another "ongoing dispute" ahooting back in 2018:

"Two men wanted for attempted murder in Rayne have been arrested.

Demoine Declouette, Jr., 20, and Deion Declouette, 19, both of Opelousas were arrested on charges of attempted second-degree murder related to the shooting that occurred at a convenience store on Thursday, April 19 in Rayne.

Rayne Police Chief Carroll Stelly says that the two, who are brothers, were a part of a group that had an ongoing dispute with another group of people. Those two group allegedly crossed paths on Thursday at the Econo Mart on Hwy 90 in Rayne where shots were fired.

Police say no one was hit or injured during the shooting."

Apparently Deion's family believes he's in imminent danger. SLPSO doesn't necessarily say they believe he is, although they did mention his family's concern. I don't understand why there hasn't been a new release with more details surrounding his disappearance. It would be helpful if investigators would clarify whether Deion was last seen in Eunice or Lafayette and where exactly (Opelousas or Lafayette) his car was found abandoned. How can the public help if the information isn't accurate?
