Regarding the yellow wrist band, Amazon shows a book called I am a Leader, Vol 2, 50 Elite Black Males by Hezekiah Grigg III. Chapter 1 is called I am a Leader and Chapter 7 is called Dream Big. The book description says, in part, "we must all challenge each other to dream big! ‘I am a Leader, Volume II’ is a remarkable combination of insight from success-oriented young black high school and college-age males." The story is about a leadership camp in North Carolina.

Unsure if that's related to the wristband or the person or if it's just a coincidence.

He seems to be a Southern Jaguars football fan: Was found wearing blue and yellow wrist bands, and a t-shirt that says "Southern Jaguars State Farm Bayou Classic XXXVIII" (38)

If I've done the math correctly, the t-shirt and the game date back to 2011 (so the shirt was 10 years old at the time of his death). The design on it MAY have looked something like the logo shown in the article below and attached:

Not trying to turn this into a sports chat - just adding context.

2021 roster - https://gojagsports.com/sports/football/roster/2021
2011 roster - https://gojagsports.com/sports/football/roster/2011

I'll see if I can find any of those t-shirts online.

The FACES website here has more detailed information about the blue t-shirt:
' t-shirt, blue colored cotton, front of shirt depicts yellow, white, and blue text "SOUTHERN JAGUARS STATE FARM BAYOU CLASSIC XXXVIII" surrounding a football helmet'

Most vintage tees I’ve found show both teams’ helmets, but the FACES entry suggests this shirt shows only the Southern Jaguars’ helmet. The only t-shirt I've found from 2011 does not include "XXXVIII", and it's white, not blue.

If the FACES text description is accurate, this is a potentially useful clue (in lieu of an actual photo) because it narrows down the options significantly.

It would be nice to network with some Bayou Classic fans/vendors regarding tee shirt designs especially since the next Bayou Classic game is Saturday, November 29, 2025 in New Orleans. 2025 Bayou Classic - 2023 Bayou Classic

Again, not trying to turn this into a sports conversation, just working with the clues provided.
