Hammond police continue search for 71-year-old man last seen Sept. 18

Hammond police are continuing the search for a 71-year-old man who has been missing for more than a week.

Edward Carr was reported missing Sept. 18. He was last seen at the corner of Natchez and Palmetto streets, relatives told WDSU.

Carr was last seen wearing a red shirt, camouflage shorts and brown shoes. His family said he has dementia and has been spotted in several areas while he's been missing.

Police said anyone with information about Carr's whereabouts is asked to call 985-277-5700.

He was last seen wearing a red shirt, camouflage shorts, and brown shoes. Carr has dementia and has been missing since September 18. Witnesses have reported seeing him in many places, none of which have been verified by eye witness or video footage.

Daughter canvasses for missing father last seen September 18

Carr's[sic] was last seen around 5 a.m. near the corner of Natchez and Palmetto streets in Hammond. Carr also has dementia and was last seen wearing a red shirt, camouflage shorts and brown shoes.

Carr's daughter was reportedly handing out fliers with a photo of her dad and a phone number to call on Wednesday afternoon at Southeastern University.
