Missing Person Alert – Gary Loven
Opelousas, LA – July 23, 2025
On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at approximately 7:25 PM, officers with the Opelousas Police Department were dispatched to 502 E. Madison Street in reference to a missing person report.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a female subject who identified herself as the landlord of the residence. The landlord reported that Mr. Gary Loven, a 75-year-old white male (DOB: 01/25/1950), has been missing since the afternoon of Monday, July 21, 2025, around 4:00 PM, which was the last time he was seen at the residence.
Mr. Loven is known to have no family in the Opelousas area.
According to the landlord, he had recently expressed interest in traveling to Arkansas, and it was reported that he may have been offering $200 to individuals in exchange for a ride.
Mr. Loven is diagnosed with dementia, and there is concern for his well-being.

Hair: Gray
Date of Birth: 01/25/1950
Medical Condition: Diagnosed with dementia
If located, please do not attempt to detain him, but contact the Opelousas Police Department immediately. Mr. Loven should be returned to 502 E. Madison Street, Opelousas, LA.
