Authorities, family search for missing woman

MAURICE, La. (KLFY)- After driving in from out of town, Helen Marie Bertrand was supposed to meet her daughter at a drug store in Scott yesterday.

Her family said she never showed up.

She was last seen at The Village Station in Maurice on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. wearing capri pants and light multi colored shirt with slip on shoes .

Authorities are now searching the 75-year-old woman who is driving a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country minivan with a Texas handicap plate #6GGWG.

Betrand is 5'4", about 160 pounds with blue eyes and gray hair.

Anyone with information on Bertrand's whereabouts is asked to contact the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Department at 337-236-5895.

Although Helen was found in Lena, Texas on May 10th, and her entry was moved to the correct forum (Located), it wasn't documented with MSM. Perhaps a Mod can change her to "Found Safe." What is interesting is that she was found almost 3 hours drive away from where she was supposed to be. I'm so glad she is safe!
