<<An elderly Edgard man is still reported missing by his family, who say he suffers from a mental disability and a terminally ill disease. According to the St. John the Baptist Sheriff’s Office, Irvin Goff, 65, was reported missing by members of his family on April 17 and was last seen by his brother. Case Detective Sgt. Royal Burke said Goff told his brother that he was leaving and did not want to be followed as he left his residence one day in April. “He was unhealthy and always confined to his house,” Goff said, “by his own choice.”>>
<<Burke said that around July 2004, Goff was diagnosed with a stomach cancer, but due to his mental disorder, may not be aware that he is afflicted. “They made some doctor’s appointments for him, but he never followed up on any of them,” Burke said.>>
