I believe there are citizens searching... and I do see police have been going door to door in the comments, so that's good also.

Good grief, this is killing me. As I was launching this thread, my 22 year old granddaughter came over with Izabelle Sky, 5 months old. Kailee has had her since she was a month old when the bio mom (skipped town on cocaine) took her to the doctor and CPS was brought in . She had the idk what it’s called. I’m drawing a blank. Somebody help me out. Her little head was flat because she was never picked up. Kailee has been friends with the dad since they were little kids. He couldn’t take care of her. He tried with her help but he’s 22 old boy, duh? Kailee’s different. Extremely responsible with a home and a management career.

Anyways, bio grandma got guardianship but her health is bad. So…my granddaughter has had her for four months. She’s beautiful and we just love her so much. Bio grandma is wanting her to adopt and K is trying to get everything in order for preparation. She’s mixed race, as is my 4 year old goddaughter (Harmony) that we had for her first month because bio grandma wouldn’t allow it. She has really light skin but she’s starting to look so much like this little one we have here. My kids and grandkids have always brought in someone, anyone, everyone into our lives. Grandparents, mothers, daughters, and now granddaughters are helping to raise our future…

Missing child found safe in Lake Charles

Lake Charles, La. (KPLC) - Isabella Washington has been located Saturday evening and is safe, according to the Lake Charles Police Department.

The one-year-old child was reported missing to LCPD by her grandmother earlier Saturday evening. Investigators have learned this was a child custody matter.

The investigation is ongoing at this time, however criminal charges are pending.

The Lake Charles Police Department would like to thank the community for their assistance in searching for Isabella.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

They were released on misdemeanor summonses.
