She was a beautiful girl, but there must be other beautiful girls between where JL worked and Mississipi.

There's a reason they drove to Mississippi, in my opinion. And there's a reason it was Jaren they took there.

Tools: All that's needed is one sharp knife, which we know they had, because her body bore a stab wound to the chest.

Why Mississippi: Evidently not confirmed yet, but LEOs are looking into it, as well as trying to locate any witnesses that may have seen the three in MS.

Why JL, specifically: Speaks and Sanchez approached other dancers, who turned them down. Jaren didn't turn them down, and asked off work a little early so that she could go make some extra money, as Speaks and Sanchez promised her. In short, others said no; she said yes.

Good insight! I disagree wholeheartedly on the last point, though. Look at MAS mugshot. That is what guilt looks like.

When Im not doing investigations, Im a photographer. Believe me, some of the most physically beautiful are the most ugly inside and the most physically ugly are the most beautiful inside. Sadly, the camera doesnt care who they are inside.

Side note: I have a modelmayhem account and checked hers out. Utter empty of any probably information. It also doesnt look like she had any real shoots.

If MAS makes bail and gets out, can MISS LE arrest her and she won't be able to fight extradition? They can't arrest her in Louisiana can they?? Not sure how this works.

There is no warrant issued for her at all yet. So if she makes bail, unless Mississippi/Louisiana issues a warrant between now and then, she will free (but will probably be watched closely). This is according to her state-appointed attorney who says that there have been no warrants issued yet for her.

If there's no evidence in the house, where are the implements used to dismember the victim?

If JL was seen alive in Mississippi at some point in time after she left the club, it's still possible that there's a third or even fourth person involved. Or why not do it in the city?

Even if it wasn't planned, why drive? JL must have believed that whatever she'd been promised was waiting at the end of that drive.

Did they tell her there was a heavy hitter on the hook in Mississippi? Aren't there any girls in Mississipi?

I'm troubled that MAS hasn't given up a lot of info. Maybe she's not as fragile as she appears.

There are plennnnty of girls in MS...just walk down Veterans on any given time at night, or near certain casinos. My DH is an IT supervisor at a casino here, and has been working there for a few years. He spotted the same girls night after night when he worked swing shift. He had to drive his car by there to and from his office (which is offsite) and said when he slowed down for the stop sign they always used to start to walk over. Not to mention, a bunch of old friends who worked in casinos were all together last week for bar trivia- they were going on about the girls that were called in for high rollers. Even had a male friend approached for a "date" while we were in Chill at the IP once. We also have a club here on Veterans....shady and skeezy club, but a club nonetheless. Right behind a miniature golf course. Go figure.

So yeah, I can't figure why they would pick her up and bring her here...unless they actually had a destination in mind.

As far as I know, there haven't been ANY similar murders here! No dismembered bodies have washed up on our beaches.

I think the poster may have been referring to Hillary Moulder who worked in NO but was from the BSL area. Still no info though as to whether her death was OD/natural or what the circumstances were.

As far as I know, there haven't been ANY similar murders here! No dismembered bodies have washed up on our beaches.

Nothing like jaren's murder. I was referencing the dancer named Hilary who worked in the quarter and lived in the bay st Lois area. She was found dead in a building in the quarter. It was in march of this year.

JL didn't have a car...hence the reason she took a cab to work.

She used to have a car and used to drive her car back and forth to work from springfield to new orleans before it got wrecked

She may have been pretty before this crime, I have no idea! But swollen lips and puffy red eyes like days spent crying her eyes out? It ain't pretty and screams guilt to me. But we'll see......

The tool(s) may have went into the ocean along with JL. Could have been an ax, machete, saw, etc. those types of items would never surface most likely.

Yes, that is why I decided to watch the Magnotta video - I originally thought it would be super-bloody, so I thought Jaren's killer(s) took her out on a boat on Lake Pontchartrain, killed & dismembered her (on the boat) & dumped her at the Rigolets then sprayed it down (you fishermen know what I mean).

Now my entire theory is goofed-up.

Nothing like jaren's murder. I was referencing the dancer named Hilary who worked in the quarter and lived in the bay st Lois area. She was found dead in a building in the quarter. It was in march of this year.

There was mention of her early on in this investigation, but I don't think we're supposed to talk about it anymore because there is some question whether she was actually murdered, and no one seems to think the cases are connected. She lived in the FQ, not in BSL at the time of her death, from what I understand. Even if she was murdered it was NOTHING like this!
