It's confusing, with the news media making errors and then changing it. I just wish they would make sure that they are reporting correctly, before they put it out there.

It used to be shameful for a reporter to have to retract or correct something.

I have been thinking maybe she was dismembered in the horrid manner in which she was to transport her body in bags or luggage...I know when I danced in N.O about three years ago it was not uncommon to see girl pulling luggage suitcases....I also thought the hair looked like it had been dyed with kool aid...not by Jaren. I have been proposition many nights when I worked to go home with couples for sex, or by men who believe me did have the money to pay me also for parties such as bachelor parties etc....I personally having two boys and a boyfriend at home never thought twice about going home with anyone even if they looked fit to be able to pay me. I once had a nice very well dressed man who rented a V.I.P. room for an hr with a bottle of champagne offer me $3000 just to hang out with him and show him around N.O. no sex involved just as a companion ....someone to show him around while he was in town....someone local to hang out with while he was in town who knew of things to do in the city.....I never would and I dont believe Jaren would being a good mom.....I truly believe she knew this guy and he earned her trust before and that is why I believe she went....He walked her to her car many times....If he approached her and said he knew of some girl doing a bachelor party for say an hr. and he would take her and he would be her security she trusted him..........and although I never would have went......If this were the case that were presented to me I would have never had any reason to not trust him and I could have just as easily ended up like Jaren...I think she was under the impression there was a party....maybe these two or TS drugged her or she and MAS had an argument....maybe they were supposed to bring her home and when poor Jaren realized something was not right she was either stabbed or drugged and these two had their way with her and after mutilated her and stuffed her into some sort of bags or something bc I just dont see any other reason to cut her up the way they did it was not something I believe they planned out very well it was all in the heat of the moment. but then again IMBW I am just speculating here....I just wish the LE would let us know something the only real thing we got today was a pic of the scum bags car....which also apppeared to be scrubbed clean on the outside!!! These two surely know something to run die their hair etc etc is not just bc they were scared bc they were the last to be seen with her.....they ARE hiding something!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE LE give us something!! I'm local out of Pearl River and I'm so outraged......IDK if it even matters but the morning that LE pulled the duo over I got an intresting call it could have been mere coincidence......I havent danced in three years been married for two and I got a call and this male apparent by the voice he was african american asked if Id be intrested in doing a bachelor party and about the time i went to tell him I no longer dance and that im married and 7 months pregnant he said its a party in BSL and I froze and was like uh uh uh ......And he said I will let u think about it I know its early (it was 8:30 a.m.) which I also thought to be odd that paired with the fact this person had my number he said he got from one of the dancers that I had given a ride home one night after work....just odd odd to me...made me feel like some serial killer was out there trying to lure someone in my opinion but then again it could have been mere coincidence.....I'm just beside myself about it tho and I did report it....However now that these two have been made suspects I think it was mere coincidence ........but it does seem odd that I havent worked out there in so long yet I get this phone call just days after a Dancer comes up missing and a torso washed up in none other than BSL????? IDK maybe I'm just over worrying the whole coink-a-dink but it did scare me and now im following this case like a hawk!!!

Speaks claimed to be Leslie Allan Rice, a man who is from Speaks's hometown. Investigators have spoken to the real Rice who said he had no idea someone was using his name.

Her torso was found Thur afternoon on the BSL beach area and I think they said it had not been in the water long? The other parts were found later and had been in the water longer at that point. LE also indicated with the tide and winds the likely spot was west of BSL. Look at the casino location there and the state park

After studying the map and learning about the tide I 100% agree with you on this. I also think the part found in Pass Christian probably washed up on Friday but wasn't found until Saturday. If you look at the pattern of how they washed up I think it is safe to say that. Just by doing the spacing and going backwards I landed right in the area of Silver Slipper Casino.

Spot on. You can walk out for long distances along the sand bars and you're right, that's a common site to see people sporadically located out there with flashlights at all hours of the night.

What would one do if someone else approached though when they were in the act/middle of dismembering a body?

The first article I read said that the parts had been scattered. Could that be? - That whoever did this, drove here and threw something and then there, etc. That combined with tides and conditions, the parts ended up surfacing where they did - which was the object of the perp to make it difficult to identify a recovery site. Or the crime scene for that matter.

I don't think it was "willful infidelity". I think Jaren loved her daughter so and wanted better things in life for her that she was too trusting of a douchebag that hoodwinked her into thinking he was trustworthy

Well, I'm going climb in bed with my hubby my baby girl is kicking me....I want to leave saying this I really hope for the safety of everyone on the gulf coast that the people responsible for this crime are sitting in jail right now bc if not it is a little freaky knowing that a sickko is still out there doing only god knows what...I will be back first thing in the morning to read up on this case! I've been following it but I havent posted till now because I had to get my hubby to teach my how to become a member of a forum this is my first time LOL....IKR I'm 26 and just learning about blogs and forums.....I'm glad you all are so good at keeping up with this case I live right in the middle of N.O. and BSL and I get more info faster from this site than I do watching our local news!! Maybe they showed her the $700 or whatever the amount they supposedly offered the other girl...that would pay a lot of bills and we know she was short on money, since the room had to be given up very shortly after she was taken. We just don't know what they told her, showed her, or offered her. JMO

I've finally caught up with all of the posts since last night. Wow! You guys are incredible. I'm always impressed with the level of thought and energy that WS members put into a case. I, too, am so touched that collectively "we" have upheld our victim friendly mission and IMO have had some impact on how the local media are showing Jaren the respect she deserves. The example and attitude of "judge not" is truly a message that I personally can't hear enough. Thank you!!

Initially, I was so sure that if we follow the money we would find the perp. I kept thinking that Jaren was grabbed after work that night/morning and taken to face someone she owed money...that is until the video was released with MAS and TS. After reading the many articles, comments made by the co-worker about her getting permission to leave early, etc, and posts on WS, it seems more than possible that she just wanted to dance at an after work party to earn additional cash.

It might be possible that MAS and TS invited her to go to a MS casino with them to turn their tips into a bigger haul? That might have been motivation for Jaren to want to go to MS that night.

It could be that MAS and TS were hired to gather up dancers for a third sick-o party. And that they transported her to MS for that purpose. TS has been described as the sort of person who would do anything for a $. Changing their hair color to the cartoonish shades, deleting their FB pages, and driving into rural LA may have been their way of following orders to disappear and not get recognized following Jaren's body being found.

I'm so bothered by the gruesome nature of this crime and think that that level of sick requires some serious anger/hate. Wonder if there is any chance that the other dancers (who were also propositioned that night) all owed the same MS loan shark? Someone who night want to make an example out of one of these girls?
