Hancock County Lead Investigator Glenn Grannan said, "Both girls were asked to come join them in maybe like a threesome and then they changed it to a party where they would make $700, $800 something to entice them to go."

Grannan talked to two women who say Sanchez and Speaks tried to lure them home.

"Both girls thought our female suspect was somewhat freaky as they described it and didn't feel comfortable, and they declined it and eventually they found someone to go," Grannan said.

That someone Grannan said was 22-year-old Jaren Lockhart.

As i said LE have already verified these women's accounts.. it did happen and IMO it certainly proves that Jaren was not a specific target involving some other secret person or motive.. sadly Jaren was in a position that night combined IMO with a level of trust with TS that lead to her, unlike the other two girls, she accepted the offer.

I'm not sold on the other girls part. Can't explain it.

Hmm...is there surveillance video of that?

If they were approached at or near clubs and there are cameras all over, those exchanges might show up on video. I'm pretty sure these women didn't say they were approached on stage.

I'm puzzled about why they didn't come forward until after the arrests.

I wonder how far back LE has traced MAS & TS. That might be valuable information.

I have to admit, after seeing the video of the girl that said they propositioned her first, I have some question as to whether or not it's true. Right now I'm working on the assumption that it is, though. If I find out there were no other girls approached, my thinking may change to some degree.

No doubt in my mind that Memory Foam knows MUCH more than most of us on this. Was just looking for a bit more clarity.

I have felt that a private party or after party dance was the lure from the beginning. However I never thought it was for sex. (Not that there is anything wrong with that if it was, sorry I just don't have issues with it) but...if it had been about sex or hair dying I believe it would have ended up at Ms. Sanchez's home. It appears by the lack of interest by LE on the residence that is not where this played out.

I don't think it played out on some beach standing in cold water at night either, just does not feel right or feasible to me. I think this played out in a safe place, meaning motel room, another residence, or a boat.

If MS had a free home to live in coming from a large family. I wonder if she had access to a boat. I know many feel she is a loser, but obviously her family supplied her with a nice home. Wonder what else she has access to. (boat, cabin ...etc)
Which is why I posted the other night that I hope LE is looking into other family owned property. We're on the same wavelength.

Smooth, it sounds like MS made the proposition to the two girls prior. Perhaps he realized that his GF's attempts were futile, she could not pull it off. Perhaps that is why he went in with a purpose to Temptations. He may have been the one that spoke with JL, turned on the manipulative charm and showed MS how it is done. NOT telling her it was for them, but using the after party ploy and financial gain for short work investment time. Just a thought here. But if it was for them, where did they take her is the question. I am back to the boat or cabin thoughts....IMHO

Do we actually know for sure they did not come forward before the arrests, they may have contacted LE, we just don't know.

If they did not come forward right away they may have had their reasons. There is a stigma that goes with being a dancer, prostitute, phone sex operator, escort. Sometimes that can make you hesitant to come forward until you are certain that something 100 percent amiss. This is very hard for me to explain. Also, maybe they had not put two and two together yet, and once they did then they came forward. We don't know the full story. However I do believe that they were approached that night. IMHO
No, there is nothing at all indicating thatthese ttwo women ddid not mmediately come forward.. rather just the opposite that when the video surfaced they had immediately told LE of the propositions that were made to them by these two that were seen to have left with Jaren.. it absolutely happened and if these investigators had anything remotely indicating these were false they absolutely would have not commented on the girls accounts and even quite likely have stated they couldn't verify the propositions occurred(as has been stated by LE in cases when a person has made an allegation that they cannot verify) ..but wth investigators NOT at all handling these propositions that way but rather state that they absolutely believe the propositions to have occurred that night.. well.. that IMO is proof positive these propositions occurred.. LE has verified it and they are publicly stating that they believe the propositions occurred..IMO it cannot get anymore verified that they occurred..

As for it being asked were the propositions on video? Not unless they've got the stages under video surveillance.. or the dressing rooms(no they do not) ...

The violent crimes appear to have involved female family members, though the court documents do not make clear how the victims are related to Speaks

Grannan said both Speaks and Sanchez have remained silent during questioning.

Grannan said Hancock County officials on Friday conducted tests using sonar equipment off the coast of Long Beach, Miss. They were looking for the hunting knife they believe was used to stab Lockhart in her chest and kill her.

LE spoke with both women. I think it was honorable for them to come forward in the media, as there is a stigma attached to being a dancer.

"She asked me if I wanted to go home with her and her boyfriend, and I said I don't work outside of the club, and got off stage and they were still there," Nand said.
Nand said she was offered $700.

"That's the fishy thing about it is when she approached me on the stage, she asked me if I wanted to go home with her and her boyfriend as a third party as a 'gift' to him, you know," Nand continued.

Amen...I commend them.
I have been a victim of that stigma myself years ago, I really do know about not reporting due to it. It took a lot for them to come forward believe it or not. Many times whether true or not you feel LE will not take you serious or that they won't take you "as serious". Sad but true.

Yet Speak's mother speaks out that she would not believe he could be in trouble....yet he has a history of assault on family members, just irritating...imho

Another thing, - ding, ding, ding, - the girl who claims she was approached but turned MAS down but then ended up standing around with them in the front or something talking to mostly MAS and said TS didn't have much to say - who is she and could she actually be part of whatever it is (versus being a potential victim). ????? Maybe she's covering her arse when she realized she'd be seen conversing with them when LE looked at surveillance tapes.

Down towards the bottom is says that Speaks fled to San Diego in 2005 and was picked up there in 2009.

I have noted that his prison records show he was in jail from June 2006 to January 2009.

Well, I guess he could have gone to SD in 2005, been arrested there and sent back to NC, serviced his time (too little time), and, as soon as he was released Jan. of 2009, beat feet right back to San Diego. Disobeying the rules of his RSO restrictions the minute he was released.

When you read it though, it sounds as if he was in San Diego straight through from 2005 until they picked him up in 2009. All this, and he wasn't sent back to prison? :jail: :maddening:

He went back to NC in Feb 2006, IIRC. I might have seen it in NC criminal records or an RSO-watch forum. It came up in a google search.

He was missing for a year, nabbed on a tip in San Diego in Jan/Feb 06. I posted that somewhere, probably in the second thread. I'll look for it when my eyes are rested.

He was in Pennsylvania in September 2009. I paid attention to that because I live in Pennsylvania.

Bessie,

Many folks in my neck of the woods (Tangi) have camps in MS. It would not surprise me if MAS's family had one too. There are about 14 people that share her last name living in a relatively close area in Loranger. Not saying they are all related but what are the odds? It would be a good guess that one of them has a camp.

All of the "talking to" was inside the club. See Bessie's link above (on stage and near her dressing room with the club manager as a witness).

MemoryFoam,

I have a question for you. I've recently heard about another dancer that died sometime between Hillary and Jaren. Her name was Constance, do you know if her death was suspicious?

Sheila Nand: I was on stage and while I was on stage I was approached by a woman that asked me if I was- uh, another woman and she asked me if I wanted to go home with her and her boyfriend and I said I don't work outside of the club and then- uh, got off stage- they were still there.

ETA: The reporter says " and now an employee there says she was approached by the couple suspected in the dancer's death who worked at Temptations."

I took that to mean the date of the report, June 14th, possibly 13th.
