Found Deceased LA - Jessica Easterly Durning, 43, New Orleans, 14 Aug 2019

  • #521
Jessica's best friend Maria called the N.O. police to do a welfare check after Jessica's husband texted her(Maria)saying she was missing. The police went to their house and told him he had to file a missing report(he did not want to) because they were there for a welfare check. So yes he did file a missing report but not because he wanted to but because they made him.
Link, please?

I've noticed that incorrect information is coming out as to whom filed the missing person report. The media and the police state the husband filed the report. NOPD: Woman reported missing, last seen at Lakeview home 6 days ago

No, they did not actually state it was the husband. They only referred to the "reporting person". As has been stated, police only attended Jessica's home at the behest of Maria, her friend. Her husband had made no contact with police prior to their attending house to do welfare check. Why? Well, I can think of at least four reasons straight off, and none what might be considered usual or appropriate in the circumstances of your wife missing.

Refer early pages in this thread, including

Missing Persons Cases Network
There were no links, that's why I asked. The police say the husband reported her missing, they don't say he was uncomfortable reporting her missing. I need to see a link that states the police found him reluctant to file a report. That is a big claim that needs verification.

Who was a "he" living in the same house with her. There is nobody other than the husband. Where is the link supporting the claim the husband was reluctant? Please post it, TIA

There is a lot to this case. You seem unfamiliar with its background? Please read through the thread posts and watch the interviews with Jessica's sisters and friend, which may enlighten you.

I am familiar with the case and I don't see any evidence of many of these claims.

I doubt that there will be any arrests without a declaration of homicide from the coroner. The coroner's office has classified it as undetermined. There has been nothing found to change that so far.

<modsnip: Personalizing>No, her husband was not the only adult male living in the home with her at the time. Second, our knowledge of his reluctance to have police to the house is publicly documented in the screenshots I shared of him objecting to me send NOPD to the house because it would upset G, him then lying and saying they told him that he couldn't report her missing for 48 hours ( I was on the phone with NOPD when that message came through and thats what alarmed the dispatcher because it was clearly a blatant lie) and also confirmed in a one on one convo I had with one of the responding officers that showed up to take the report. So, you're welcome for being made privy to info about this case that there isn't a link to because it's directly from the source.

MOO but is it possible he has dirt on these "friends in high places" and they are willing to cover up for him? Just trying to wrap my brain around why nothing is happening in this case when there are red flags all over the field! Everything about this points to one person and every bit of new information that comes out just solidifies my gut feeling. #Justice4Jessica NOW! NOPD needs to step it up, this is not acceptable. Again, just MOO.

Who else lived there that was an adult male? And there has to be a link, otherwise it's just rumour.

No, I doubt there are "friends in high places", the police don't operate on rumours, they have to rely on evidence. There is no evidence of murder, if there were it would have been classified as homicide.
