They seem so young - still many of their friends that age are into them...
I hope not...an entire country full of introverts.

I have no clue whether or not video games had a part in this young man's horrific acts.

That said, I saw some recent studies that did show repeated hours of playing certain violent games desensitized children to violence. Remember, up until the early twenties a young person's brain is not mature (and of course, that doesn't mean they can't act maturely...just that overall, the maturation process is not complete for certain parts of the brain.)

Certain children are going to be more susceptible to the violence than others--just as certain people can be abused as children and not become abusers as adults.

Annie, don't worry about your grandchildren, I'll bet they are just fine.

You take care, and STOP being such a worry wart!

Playing games and watching TV doesn't make kids bad.

Everything is ok!

From April 2008:

http://archive.shreveporttimes.com/...consecutive-life-terms-killing-parents-friend

A 16-year-old must serve three consecutive life terms at hard labor and with no chance of parole for killing his parents and a friend last year...

Wood was convicted April 16 of killing his parents, John and Geraldine "Jerri" Wood, and his teen friend Matthew Whittington on March 14, 2007, at the Woods' home in Ferriday...

Connor Wood killed all three by shooting them multiple times, including bullets to their faces.
