Louisiana State Police has issued a Level II Child Endangerment Alert on behalf of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office. They are requesting assistance in locating two juvenile males, Kaesyn Heck, an 8-year-old white male, and Jax Matthews, a 4-year-old white male. Kaesyn is approximately 5ft. tall and weighs approximately 60 pounds.

Jax is approximately 3 ½ ft. tall and 45 pounds. Both Kaesyn and Jax are blonde headed and have “crew cut” style haircuts.

Both children were last seen leaving their father’s home at 41598 River Rd. in Ponchatoula.

Jax Matthews was last seen wearing a camo jacket and black rubber boots. Kaesyn was wearing a black jacket and blue long sleeve shirt, jeans and black rubber boots.

The children may be riding in a red or burgundy 2013 Hyundai Elantra with a busted sunroof.

The direction of travel is unknown.

Louisiana State Police has upgraded the boys’ disappearance from a Level II Child Endangerment Alert to an Amber alert for both boys on the morning of Wednesday, March 3.

Kaesyn is an 8-year-old boy and is approximately five feet tall and weighs approximately 60 pounds. Jax is 4-years old, is three and a half feet tall and weighs 45 pounds.

The boys both have blond hair and have crew-cut hairstyles.


Both children are missing and were last seen from their father’s home at 41598 River Road in Ponchatoula.

Jax was last seen wearing a camo jacket and black rubber boots. Kaesyn was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue long sleeve shirt, jeans and black rubber boots.

The boys may be riding in a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, burgundy or red in color with a busted sunroof. The direction of travel is unknown.

Two boys are missing from Tangipahoa Parish after authorities say they were inside a car when it was stolen from their father's home. An Amber Alert was issued Wednesday morning in Louisiana for them.

The children were last seen in the 41000 block of River Road in Ponchatoula, according to a 5 a.m. alert from Louisiana State Police. Authorities did not say when the children were last seen or where they think the vehicle could be headed.

The boys were in a maroon 2013 Hyundai Elantra with a broken sunroof when it was stolen, according to police. The car has a Louisiana license plate, 153AFD. Authorities did not give a description of the thief or thieves. bbm

I have seen countless stories of cars stolen with kids inside recently. The cold weather has people warming up cars or leaving them running while dashing into the store. Opportunist thieves see an unattanded car running and jump in not realizing kids are in the back seat. Nothing seems off to me but the amount of people who leave kids in a running car and walk away thinking thats fine.

I have seen countless stories of cars stolen with kids inside recently. The cold weather has people warming up cars or leaving them running while dashing into the store. Opportunist thieves see an unattanded car running and jump in not realizing kids are in the back seat. Nothing seems off to me but the amount of people who leave kids in a running car and walk away thinking thats fine.

I think what seems off is the fact that when dad posted about it, he didn't say the kids were in the car. More like the car was stolen. For me, and most people, I would think that the children being in the car might be one of the first details I would make sure everyone knew. However, I absolutely adore my kids, but maybe it's just a mom thing.

Louisiana authorities are searching for two boys who were reportedly abducted after someone stole their father’s car.

According to the Louisiana State Police, 8-year-old Kaesyn Heck and Jax Matthews, 4, were last seen at their father’s home, at 41598 River Rd. in Ponchatoula. Both boys were inside their dad’s car when it was stolen from the home on Tuesday.
