On her FB page, I found she is a grandmother! Wow - at 35 years old. I found a MySpace photo page for her. There is no date on the photos, but IMO it is 7 - 10 years ago. She looks quite different:

I hope they can find her soon. I'm glad they found her dog, as it might help to figure out where Kasey might have been.

It's heartbreaking. In her "missing photo" she looks sad and much older than her years. We don't know what heartbreak she had or what challenges but we do know she is deeply loved. I hope she is brought home for safety and rest.

From the link:

“On the evening of May 30, Tristin James, Hannah Desselle and Kasey Bigum were at a residence north of Marksville on Hwy. 1,” Anderson said. “James and Bigum got in an argument, and it turned violent. Bigum was murdered by James. He hit her with his hand and hit her with a baseball bat. James and Desselle then wrapped the body up in a blanket and took her to a remote area of the parish on the S&B Cutoff Road and disposed of the body there. Further investigation led to Hannah Desselle admitting to having been with James when the murder occurred and took detectives to where the body was dumped."

Tristin James sentenced to 40 years in prison for his mother's death
Fri, 02/05/2021 - 12:08pm

Tristin James was sentenced to serve 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in connection with the May 2019 death of his mother, Kasey Bigum.

Hannah Desselle, also charged with 2nd degree murder in the case, will be in court Wednesday (Feb. 10) for pre-trial motions. Her trial is currently scheduled for March.

James was sentenced 39 years for manslaughter and one year for simple escape, to run consecutively for a total of 40 years. He was also sentenced to two years for burglary, but that was ordered to be served at the same time as the manslaughter sentence, so does not add any years to James' sentence.
