She has an arrest for illegal possession of a firearm, (likely underage, or carrying concealed without a permit) and one for having a firearm at a school. No other crimes ever so I'm wondering if she was carrying because she was in fear of someone?

She has been classified as an "in state fugitive". In my opinion, she likely has an active warrant for her arrest and is deliberatively missing. Currently Housed Inmates

3 Investigates: The Search for Crystal and Kylie

SHREVEPORT, La. -- Melody Beal and Daisha Benjamin didn't know each other a year ago. Now, they’re each other’s support system.

“It's funny because I don't like girls, normally,” Beal said, laughing. “But we've been really close.”

Both women say they’ve found it difficult to talk with their families about their daughters’ disappearances.

“I’ve been distant from a lot -- my brothers and sisters, I’m distant. My dad and mom, I’m distant.” Benjamin said.

“We don’t have holidays anymore,” Beal said. “We don’t get together as a family because it doesn’t work.”

Crystal Beal was 28 the last time she was seen, Aug. 9, 2018.

Benjamin’s daughter, Kylie Hartman, was 21. She vanished Sept. 10, 2018.

Both women from Shreveport have a criminal record. Their complicated pasts have marred the investigations into their disappearances, challenging investigators with unreliable witnesses and a sea of unfounded rumors.

Details of Disappearance
Hartman was last seen in Shreveport, Louisiana on September 10, 2018. She was with her ex-boyfriend and was last seen leaving the Break n' Run, a bar on Mansfield Road, with him. She has never been heard from again.

Another woman, Crystal Beal, disappeared from Caddo Parish, Louisiana a month earlier, on either August 6 or August 8. Both she and Hartman are from Shreveport and have criminal histories. According to their mothers, both of them were involved in prostitution as well, and they ran in the same same social circles. In spite of this, police have found no evidence that the women knew each other or that their disappearances are related.

Hartman did know Zachary Hebert, a 37-year-old Shreveport man who disappeared in September 2018; his body was found in a shallow grave in pasture in Benson, Louisiana on October 31 that year. The cause of death could not be determined due to decomposition of the remains. Investigators haven't said whether Hebert's murder is related to Hartman's disappearance.

Hartman's family believes she is dead, as previously she had never gone for more than a few weeks without contacting her loved ones. The circumstances of her disappearance are unclear and her case remains unsolved.
