@Sabeteur1956. I’m from the area. Did your son’s death occur in Leonville city limits, St. Landry or St. Martin parish? Since your son’s body went directly to the funeral home, who determined the death was a suicide? Who ordered the toxicology tests?
He passed away in Leonville, St. Landry Parish. According to everything I've read, his wife determined it smh. Louisiana State police ordered it then lied when I asked what the toxicology report said. The captain who came to Texas told me they didn't do one smh. That was a TOTAL lie, my son was exhumed June 2, 2016 results came back dated on the report, June 20, 2016. They didn't come to Texas until December 13, 2016!!! They already knew the results when he lied to my face

I’m seeing a string of people getting investigative journalists to take the torch of getting these kind of cases relooked at. Any ideas? Dateline?
Contacted Dateline, no luck

Wow that's compelling , OK have you talked to the state police and voiced your concerns over ex and Cop? my first thought is go State if this guy is local or schedule an Appt. with an FBI Field office and let them know there's a concern or conflict of interest going on that's much bigger than you can deal with.
I've talked to everyone I can think to contact. Here goes, the Governor doesn't have jurisdiction, a Senator sent letters to DA and coroner, they never responded, the Attorney General's office sent an email giving their condolences that my son was a VICTIM of such a crime and there's nothing farther they can do (keep in mind they've never done anything)FBI (more than one)told me they don't investigate murders and the list could go on. I'm tired of the crap they're trying to feed me

So sorry, Sabeteur1956, for your loss; why specifically do you feel that events regarding your son's death have apparently been distorted, and an incorrect conclusion drawn?
Thank u for your condolences. I've had an organization helping me that began to see red flags on the information I sent them from the beginning. I have no idea why my son's death is being covered up so tightly and being called a suicide. As far as I know, he wasn't a secret spy so I don't get this. I have phone records which shows hundreds of calls on the estranged wife's phone that day like a well plotted plan, also her work records for that day are dicey. Supposedly he passed away at 6:57P, she called me at 6:16P saying she was leaving work and they have her clocking out at 9.:57P. soooooo supposedly she found out her husbandPpassed away and returned to work hmmmmmm doubtful

If my memory serves me, the retired Superintendent of Troop I (state police) is currently running for Sheriff of St. Martin Parish. Troop I serves St. Landry and St. Martin parishes. The former Superintendent may have been in office during your son’s death. It may be worth contacting him.
Also, the Mr. Terry Landry was head of all the State Troop divisions for several years. He’s from the St. Landry area recently retired for the Louisiana Legislature. He may be someone who’d have some insight into advocating for you and your son,
I know our state has at times an awful reputation to others, but the Acadiana area has some of the most caring people too.
I’m glad you found your way to WS. There are some of the best researchers who can help get the wheels turning.

Thank u, I can try to contact these people. Sadly yes your state has an awful reputation. I've been treated horribly, ignored and one Louisiana state policeman told me if I continued sending out emails, people would think I was crazy.

Senators can be very helpful as they usually have a decent sized staff. And I would try the media, they have great resources . Keep asking, I bet some journalist would jump at this to investigate a bit !

Ok thank u. As I said, I need help I'm quite unsure how things go☹
I was the one who accidentally double posted and had to delete one of my own. You’re fine :)

Was a bullet ever recovered and did they test his hands for gunshot residue? Also, I’m a little confused about him needing to be exhumed. Did they not test for drugs st his original autopsy?

I’m very sorry to ask hard questions, but I’d like to gather more info.

He never had an orginal autopsy, no gunshot residue testing or any other tests. When I stood in Tim cemetary while he was being exhumed, the funeral home director told me if Russell Pavich (coroner who never saw him) and the Louisiana State police didn't suspect foul play, this wouldn't be done and the state of Louisiana pay for it no matter what they come and tell u. DO U UNDERSTAND ME? I told him yes I understand. This is also the same funeral home director who told me he saw no evidence of a gunshot wound.

The Senator was ignored just like I've been and so far the media hasn't picked this up. I've contacted everyone I can think of. I'm telling u, this is a nightmare and I feel like I stepped into the Twilight Zone ☹

I truly appreciate all the input, suggestions, feedback, etc.. let me let u all know. Most of the things you're telling me to do, I've done. I've contacted nearly every news station, radio station, newspaper in Louisiana. The same with every national media forum there is, for example Dateline and all others. Senators, congressmen, the Governor, mayors. Y'all have no idea. Alone, I reached out to over 600 people via phone calls, emails, packets I created from information gathered. I even sent a packet to The Vatican. All to no avail sadly. I've used Facebook to look up people to contact, several have done podcasts spreading Marc's story but, so far no major media. Let me say this, in no way am I trying to become famous but, if news cameras can shine the spotlight on Louisiana to make the officials get off their butts and prosecute who's responsible for taking my son's life, I'll gladly stand in front of one. I want justice for my child and that's why I've fought so hard and tirelessly. Guys, I'm very tired, deep in my soul. I miss him with every breath I take. Thank u for the support you've given to me in this short time and please bare with me as I learn this sight.

Good for you for staying strong. People think everything and everyone is like CSI or some character on a crime show that cares and will look for the killer. I had a friend whose brother's death was ruled the same way and it didn't add up. He believed cops were possibly involved or drug dealers or both. Covering up murder by calling it suicide is BS.

I'm sorry for your friend's loss. Trying my best to stay strong, it's not very easy☹they've shown how little they care but, it won't stop me. In Louisiana homicide is the new suicide. There's this young man who supposedly shot himself while his hands were cuffed behind his back AND he was shot in the front part of his body. Yup, Houdini resurrected . Utter BS

Oh my goodness. Am I understanding that they never found a bullet at all?
