I'm trying to stay up to date and at the moment at gymnastics on my phone so a little bit harder to double check links...That said I seem to remember the search being called off because of the current or something to do with the conditions in the water. I hate to even speculate, but I won't be home for 3 hours.
Eta I wasn't being clear sorry first time using tap talk... I was talking about the initial search when they found the bike ending pretty quick not today's announcement about volunteers. I def don't want to add to any confusion so I'll just read when I am on my phone :)

So the handgrips weren't attached to the handlebars when the bike was found. Very odd.

Yes that would be consistent with chicken fried's assessment. After watching the press conference, I'm certain LE knows more.
This gives me hope that this will come to a resolution soon. Whoever did this more than likely took the handlegrips off of the bike.

Does LA have DNA laws, specifically Familial dna, if you know, Billiam?

they wouldn't verify, but that seems like the grips were NOT on the bike. if they were on the bike what would be the harm in verifying it.

Well that's interesting, but that wheel is really badly damaged. I don't think Mickey's bike back tire would have been that damaged or it was thrown out into the water and that broke it's momentum. Guess we will need to wait, because LE doesn't think that it was tossed over the edge.

So in the most recent presser, LE is saying the car is a GMC 80s or 90s?? Where's chicken fried??? Is this possible??

To clarify, he said the car is a "GM" not "GMC" however I believe one of the trucks could be a GMC.

Also, for those outside of Lafayette who can't possibly keep up with all our news and radio stations...

For those of you who believe she was hit, but are still wondering why there was no evidence of the accident.

A radio station located in town posted a picture way back on Tuesday or Wednesday showing LE carrying brown bags in hand.

I do believe, hopefully, that LE has more evidence than we know about.

That's why I choose to believe this intersection of the footage is very near the crime scene. And the whereabouts of the car and two trucks is key in finding out what happened.

I have three more videos I can upload, but I'll admit that the last one has a little bit of a freakout over a white truck, so I'm hesitant about posting that one. It does show the sheer amount of dead ends in the area past where MS was last spotted, though, so it might rule out someone making a quick turn around. Opinions? Want to see or skip it?

Ingra and Becky, I would encourage you both to post your recent additions (Ingra's transcript and Becky's video) to Mickey's MSM/Timeline/No Discussion thread in the stickies above. Wfgodot provided a link in post 71 on this thread. Thank you for your efforts to help Mickey!

I've posted Ingra's there. Will do Becky's if needed.

Wonder if LE thinks the perp is among the volunteer searchers and they are hoping a 2 day break may cause the perp to revisit 'his' special area??

Hmm...I sure was mean mugging some of the searchers there knowing it was a possibility anyone could be the one.

Speaking of Tim Miller/TES (Texas Equisearch), he was on a program I saw last week on Crime ID channel, and he was driving out with a co-worker to look for good search areas for a man who had gone missing under suspicious circumstances, and on the way, he saw a little shed/abandoned house on the side of the road, and said, that would be a good place to hide a body...and sure enough, he had his co-worker go check it out and there he was...

So I am guessing he has done his drives and surveying and is now ready to search. JMO

Yeah, we'll have to wait and see. After all of the talk about 'throw your bike off something high and tape it', I decided to see if youtube had that on it already. They have everything else. ;)

I don't think it was thrown from the bridge, just because of the 'no shoulder' aspect and the fact that someone would have seen something...even if it was someone in the other lane who noticed someone suspicious out of their vehicle on the other side. I'm sure further examination and testing will answer more questions, though.

Some what ot

Back in my day we would refer to "da kine" as great snow skiing conditions.

Also, Dog the Bounty Hunter's business is called the same I'm pretty sure.

Some in the pot smoking world of the past would refer to really good stuff as "da kine"

But 2 days after they were shown carrying the little bags, they announced they had not found anything significant, so we assumed whatever was in the bags turned out to be unrelated.
