Does LA have DNA laws, specifically Familial dna, if you know, Billiam?

It's funny, I was just having this discussion. If the perp has been arrested before yes, by law, they are required to submit DNA. Hopefully they have a POI in mind and do not need to fall back on this.

So the handgrips weren't attached to the handlebars when the bike was found. Very odd.

Maybe torched because the perp(s) weren't certain what type of fluid would effectively clean off their fingerprints? Just a guess. If that's the case, though, why not take the handgrips and pitch them elsewhere... inside a fast food bag down the road in the garbage... cut them up and flush them? These perps sound as if they were desperate.

Also, all, don't forget if you get a minute to add people and place names, etc., to #tags at the bottom of the page posts.

From other cases, we HAVE seen volunteer searching suspended, while TES does its thing. It does not mean LE is close to an arrest or anything like that. It just means that TES has made their surveys and determined the best search areas for now, and it is to be left to the pros for now. They will let the public know when they need more bodies again. At least this is how it has worked in some other cases. JMO

I agree. Just to add to your post, sometimes if information comes to them from LE they will suspend a search in a certain area.

IMO, it sounds like LE may have found some significant evidence near the bridge that led them to perhaps another theory of what may have happened to Mickey.

Off to watch JVM.....will be back later.

Thank you wfgotot (excuse typos I'm not sure how to quote on my phone). I hadn't seen that link yet. I was thinking though of the searches yesterday that ended right after hey found the bike. I think I must have seen it on nancy grace ... I should keep quiet when on my phone!

Aren't there any FEMA trailers sitting around out there?

  • #127
Oh no...hoping JVM is not going to go with the spectacular angle of comparing cases with Lauren :( Looks like it...

This photo is popping up on Facebook. I assume one of you guys did it here, but I'm way behind on reading. If so, apologies for reposting.

It wasn't me. I said I was going to, but then the PC started and I didn't get around to it. About to post though.

Has it been confirmed that one of the trucks has a chrome gas cover? Is this the same truck that has the bed cover, and has the color of the cover been confirmed?

So in the most recent presser, LE is saying the car is a GMC 80s or 90s?? Where's chicken fried??? Is this possible??

Slow travel of info among the police???? That shocked me.

But 2 days after they were shown carrying the little bags, they announced they had not found anything significant, so we assumed whatever was in the bags turned out to be unrelated.

Yea, after thinking about it a little. If they gave us the information about the bike being found, I think they would have given us the information about a piece of the bike being found. Thank ya lindsay

Also, for those outside of Lafayette who can't possibly keep up with all our news and radio stations...

For those of you who believe she was hit, but are still wondering why there was no evidence of the accident.

A radio station located in town posted a picture way back on Tuesday or Wednesday showing LE carrying brown bags in hand.

I do believe, hopefully, that LE has more evidence than we know about.

That's why I choose to believe this intersection of the footage is very near the crime scene. And the whereabouts of the car and two trucks is key in finding out what happened.

Absolutely AND if this is indeed the same white truck, and I believe that it is, seen in this picture, then Mickey could have been inside it.

I apologize if I missed this has already been posted/asked/answered before. I have been reading this thread since this morning and I am not able to catch up to all of the posts.

Can someone please tell me where this security cam pic was taken? I've been "Google map driving" for hours and just can't find it.

Thanks!

Click on this newspaper link and scroll down on the right side you'll see a mugshot of somebody they picked up today in St. Martin parish where the basin is that the bike was found in. Can't link the mugshot direct.

Locals please correct me if I'm wrong.

Some what ot

Back in my day we would refer to "da kine" as great snow skiing conditions.

Also, Dog the Bounty Hunter's business is called the same I'm pretty sure.

Some in the pot smoking world of the past would refer to really good stuff as "da kine"

"da kine" is also used as a phrase for a word thats on the tip of your tongue. mostly commonly said like that in hawaii...i lived there for 2 years and heard it every day at school....i.e. "He was at that movie theater, you know, da kine by da 7/11"

So in the most recent presser, LE is saying the car is a GMC 80s or 90s?? Where's chicken fried??? Is this possible??

I stand by my ID. They must not think it's important enough to ID it, yet he said it's the public's job to find the car.

It's a 1977-'84 Olds 98.

Looks like THIS

Not being a policeman, with all due respect, and though they're overwhelmed with tips, I think that's really sloppy police work, considering they're telling the public to look for three vehicles. It's equivalent to telling them it's a 2000s GM truck.

Sorry to any LE reading.

DANG How did I blow out the margin? Thought I just linked the photo!?!?

Many apologies.

DANG. Must have hit the photo button by accident instead of the link button

I have three more videos I can upload, but I'll admit that the last one has a little bit of a freakout over a white truck, so I'm hesitant about posting that one. It does show the sheer amount of dead ends in the area past where MS was last spotted, though, so it might rule out someone making a quick turn around. Opinions? Want to see or skip it?

Sure why not, go ahead and post them. Did you get the tag number of the white truck??

margins are blown. To answer your question, that is a picture of the truck on university after turning left from st. landry. its a couple blocks up, right nest to st. john cemetery.
