I am a Private Investigator in Lafayette, La and working on this case independently and would like to point a few things out.

While there are many good theories in this thread, it is important to focus on the facts and only the facts to form theories as well as look at the most simple explanations for her disappearance.

Scenario 1: Hit and run. While possible, highly unlikely. The sound of a wreck is unmistakable and loud. Also, someone who accidentally hits someone is more likely to speed off rather than further incriminate themselves by getting out, risk being seen, hide a person and a bike and leave more evidence. So possible, but unlikely

Scenario 2: Abducted by stranger. First, this doesnt happen all that often around here and its normally with children. Most acts of random violence are typically robberies. So its quite possible someone saw her alone and thought to steal her bag and bike. However this is where it becomes highly illogical. Someone just commiting a robbery, again like a hit and run, would not want to further incriminate themselves. These crimes are usually quick. Knocked off bike, stole bag, sped off. Simple. Even if a fight ensued and god forbid she died, the person would most likely get away as fast as possible. There would be evidence of a struggle somewhere and i think she or her belongings would be found by now. Taking a person AND a bike withought leaving a trace is just too difficult and too much trouble for some random crime.

This leaves us with the most likeliest of scenarios. She stopped to visit someone or someone she knew saw her and offered her a ride home. This is where something went wrong and whatever happened happened. This would account for why theres no one who saw or heard anything, why nothing of hers has been found, and the general lack of evidence. This is the most likely situation and is the angle that should be focused on.

Why would this scenario be more likely than BW being involved in your opinion? TIA

in that interview I just posted he also said that when they were at his house after the concert friends called to check on them.

I would think he would call to check that she made it back safe, right?

furthermore it has also been reported that her phone was off early saturday..

I am sure LE has checked the taco bell cameras (and his trash for wrappers) to verify his story right?

not accusing the guy... but he WAS the last one to see her and is thus "ground zero" for the investigation.

"not accusing the guy... but he WAS the last one to see her and is thus "ground zero" for the investigation."

This is my current state of mind.

Possible motive: Shunned?

BW: "No. No, not at all. Me and Mickey actually got to know each other because I was dating her best friend. After me and her friend split up, me and Mickey kind of got a little closer, but it was never anything but platonic, and that was fine. "

<modsnip>

****Not a fan of his drive through answer. Did they use the drive through or not? If I am not mistaken he said they did, then said they "couldnt"???

EDITED: Disregard as I highly doubt the car ride was for food

IMO

nursebeeme.....what do you think of MS drinking three glasses of water at the club and being so terribly hungry? Is she diabetic or would that be due to the amount of calories she expends with the bike riding/exercise.

I have wondered if she was disoriented or just terribly tired.

For what it's worth re: no "text me when you get home" etc...

My DD and her bf and about 6 others of longtime friends (all around 21) all live in same huge apt complex - but different ends. They all meet up at one or another apt to party etc..then walk/ride home.

Trust me, none of them EVER say "text me when you get home". It's not in their mindset...remember when you are 21 you are still "invincible". Besides, they will probably see each other posting on FB by the next day.

At 2am only the drive through was open at Taco Bell. You can not go through the drive through on bicycles. You have to DRIVE THROUGH in a car. The drinking of the water is probably due to dehydration from being hung over. If she was hungover and nauseous she might not have eaten most of the day and thought eating might make her feel better. He said she was not feeling well from partying the night before and that is also why she wasn't drinking. All very logical answers.

Oh I find that very likely. Its all lumped into the idea of it being someone she knew. Stopped somewhere, was picked up, or never left. All the most logical scenarios. I personally dont think he is capable of that (from looking at him and motive wise) but you never know what people are capable of and its still VERY possible.

my take on "too much information" is that it is embellishment and seen frequently in lies.

According to her friend in that interview they had just ridden on bikes from the concert... so why check the tires if you just rode your bike? And if you were having tire problems and maybe were concerned about them why not ask your friend with a car to drive you home/throw your bike in the car?

I always carry a flat kit when I bike but if it were 2am and I was worried about my tires there is no way I would ride 5 miles worrying about it... I would just ask my friend for a ride.

:moo:

Thanks Nurse 'embellishment' is what I would have liked to say.

As a mother, I would not be pleased that my child was riding their bike home from anywhere at 2 am, I don't care how old they are. I know it is a common mode of transportation, especially with college students, but still doesn't make it ok in my mind.

I find it strange that MIckey was hungover, not from that night, but from the night before. That would be a very very long time and just doesn't sit well with me.

I don't find any of that strange.. what I do find strange is he didn't say "we" got food or "we ate".. So he drives her there but doesn't get anything for himself???

if she was famished did the guy have no food at is house? Why take the time at that time of night knowing she had a graduation the next morning to get in a car, make a run for the border, eat it, and then get on your bike to head home at 2am?

I also found that same statement SKH posted strange.. "it was never anything but platonic and that was fine" what does that mean? Did he want something more?

BW: Online Handle?? "FlogtheGirl" !!!! Not making me less suspicious.

He said they had to use the car to go through the drive through because they won't serve you on bikes. And the drive through is the only part of Taco Bell open that late at night, you can't go inside. That's why they took the car.

well, the delay in getting the investigation going until Monday sure has not helped this case imhoo........... :sigh: I can totally respect Mickey's father's frustration

Did not know this, thank you.

I am still unsure a food run happened but do believe there was a car ride.

If they bought food and brought it to his house, it would be easy to prove. Food wrappers.

WILSON: We went to my house. It was too late to bike indoors (ph) with Taco Bell. So we got in the car, and I took her through the drive- through. She picked something up, brought it back. She ate it.

I've been wondering about the food wrappers too. Wonder if LE checked up on that.

It's totally plausible that she was still hungover the next night. It is also totally plausible that they went to Taco Bell at 2am. They are young and that's what young people do.

Maybe nobody has reported seeing her because......nobody did see her. The last person who claims to have seen her has a car.....:twocents:

And prefaced that with "me and Mickey kind of got a little closer". So in his mind at one point in time, they were closer than "platonic". This relationship went from "closer" to "platonic" or from "hot" to "cold". Wonder what happened? Or did she even know this? Unrequited love?

Why would he get something to eat if he wasn't hungry? I don't think the friend had anything to do with it. Everything he's said is totally possible and even likely in my opinion. He is cooperating with police and truly seems concerned for his friend. I know people have nodoby else to sleuth right now but he seems to be honest. JMHO

Yes, if she doesn't turn up on any of the possible en route security cameras, I suspect investigators will be talking to some person or people again.

Remember - myspace profiles were most likely made anywhere from 4-8 years ago...and you can't change your "handle" once you do make one. And, I would guess that it is in reference to a band Flogging Molly.
