Did flogthegirl really write the “Fine Taste of Destruction” test on OkCupid?
Choose tests here:
http://www.okcupid.com/profile/flogthegirl

(Yes, this might have been written when he was 15, but that makes it reeeally scary. Interest in fires and blowing up animals? Red flags. Gospodi pomilui!)

Almost the polar opposite of the Avellanarius he refers to himself as (currently) on his FB page.

ETA: i take that back - a dorm mouse can be quite destructive.

They could of had an argument. Something happened to make several neighbours contact the police.
Where did find the info. that several neighbors called the police? TIA

I don't find the fact that BW mentioned checking the tire pressure terribly unusual. Many avid cyclists do a walk-around check of their bikes -- lights, tire pressure, tweak the seat height etc. before they ride off. And they're always chatting about the latest pieces of gear and accessories, so the fact that he mentioned it is probably part of what would be a normal (for a cyclist) explanation about the events of the evening.

I think what some of us might perceive as weird or even suspect phrasing by BW might be due to "the generation gap". I'm sure in hindsight BW wishes he had insisted he drive her home or that she'd spent the night. Maybe his feelings of guilt over that are coming across in his comments as uneasiness and that is causing people to sense that he could be culpable in some way?

The lurking green van is much higher on my list of probabilities.

It could very well be that these kids really do care about the condition of their bikes and safety. Brett isn't coming across as someone who would have harmed Mickey. A yahoo look up brings up information about his participation in award winning debate teams at the college he attends. And he is not very big at all, not that it matters, but he would have to overcome her or drugs could be used. Looking forward to hearing whether the Taco Bell had videos or if person working remembered them.

That just sounds like Mickey drank much more than she was normally used to.
Who was she out with the night before? Where were they partying?
Anyone know? I have not seen it reported only that her sister Charlene had come into town the night before.

For me "MUCH MORE" is def the reason why :)

I could not find the article which quoted the sister (Charlie I think), but she stated that she was her best friend and that she would never bike at that time of night by herself. I will keep looking for it but this openly contradicts the "friends" statements of this being a common occurrence for her.

I'd like to know what article that is, because my SIL also told me that it's NOT uncommon for Mickey to bike at that time. And why put "friends" in quotes?

Announcement #2921

Don't forget to add #tags if we get new person/place info. wfgodot already spent all of his bringing the ones below over from the last thread.

Thanks! (Bows.)

I have been following and keeping up to date and haven't seen this quote by Charlene. I would be very interested to read if you do find it.

Charlene was visiting from out of state, Dallas I believe. The contradiction is interesting.

I copied this from the first page of this thread.

This article says several neighbours saw suspicious activity and called to report it. Does anyone know what suspicious activity?
http://www.katc.com/full-coverage/se...ickey-shunick/
While the search party was ongoing Sunday, several neighbors did file police reports with Lafayette Police, saying they did see suspicious activity in the area.

Mickey is 5'1" and 115 lbs. <modsnip>
I don't think he blinked a single time in that one minute clip. That is not a sign of lying or guilt, but it is abnormal.

Well now I'm confused, her sister said one thing, according to that article, but her parents and friends say something else.

All of Mickey's friends and family have stated that it was not unusual for Mickey to be on her bike at night! Charlie didn't say that Mickey would never ride at night!

Possible a DUI hit her and caused mortal injury, took her and bike and have hidden evidence? DUI in Louisiana is ridiculous and the law all but gives them a pass to continue to be DUI! Sickening!

After our experience with 'The Baton Rouge Serial Killer', none of my children would be on a bike at that time of night, not if I could have anything to do with it! BTW, my children are in their 40's.

Reading the bbm above makes me wonder again about the someone that stole BW's bike a short time ago.

[BW just had his bike returned to him on May 9th]

ETA: apparently it was found abandoned in a cemetery by the sheriff's office after BW put out an APB to the local bike community

Let me note to all that bikes are stolen from this area very frequently. Ive lived in the area for a long time and even an area that is considered "safely" and you could never leave your bike out or unattended. Some would actually go through gates to get a bike. Getting your bike stolen in this area is not unheard of. I was surprised he got it back.

Not sure if it was mentioned yet but BW was dating a friend of Mickey's. Just throwing that out there in case anybody can think of any other theories.

As far as I know, it was never said why they split up and I question why Mickey would be friending someone who dated a friend.

Hope that made sense. lol
