Found it. Just saying it contradicts whats known.

http://gma.yahoo.com/mickey-shunick-disappearance-searchers-bike-route-where-missing-083453291--abc-news-topstories.html

"Shunick's older sister says she never would have left on her own, and that Saturday was her brother's graduation. Monday was Mickey's own 22nd birthday, and the two had big plans. "

JMO, I don't read this as "she would never bike alone at night" but as she would never disappear on her own.

Well now I'm confused, her sister said one thing, according to that article, but her parents and friends say something else.

This was my confusion as well. Glad we got that cleared up!

Mickey is 5'1" and 115 lbs. <modsnip>
I don't think he blinked a single time in that one minute clip. That is not a sign of lying or guilt, but it is abnormal.

Blinking while answering a question (especially a "did u know what happened to her" question) is a major no-no in body language 101. "Lie to Me" fan?

That doesn't say she wouldn't ride at night. That says Mickey would not have staged her own disappearance.

And that means there is no contradiction between Charlie's statement and the parents and friends statements.

All of Mickey's friends and family have stated that it was not unusual for Mickey to be on her bike at night! Charlie didn't say that Mickey would never ride at night!

Regardless of what transportation was involved, the underlying meaning was "that she would never be out at that time of night ALONE". Which she was. Riding a bike yes, but at night not alone. Walking alone yes, but at night not alone. That is how I interpreted it.

No! That is not what it means! Charlie is saying there is no possibility that Mickey VOLUNTARILY disappeared!

that is an IB times article (not really msm)

I guess if this source isn't any good, then the above quote from her sister sounds like she would not disappear on her own. So the initial report from her family about her biking at night sounds reasonable and there is no contradiction, IMO

Yes, go in fear of "International Business Times" - one of their articles once announced that KC police were definitely onto another suspect and had absolved the parents in the Lisa Irwin case.

Also on my "bad list": the Examiner and [link removed]. These sources have displayed a far from professional manner in their "news gathering" and reportage.

The report says this:

Shunick's older sister, continued to say that she never would have left to go home on her own. http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/3450...bike-route.htm

What you've got here is a sloppy reporter. He is copying from another article and he slips three little words in that change the entire meaning. He slips in "to go home.". What Charlie REALLY said was "would never have left on her own."

yes... they take words from a bunch of different msm articles to write a report and frequently make huge errors

I don't watch when one blinks but how much he/she blinks. People normally blink about 4 times/minute. People with brain injuries, Parkinson’s, schizophrenia, or major depression with psychotic features and are taking/have taken antipsychotic meds have decreased rates of blinking which can give them that creepy continuous stare.

On this video (under Darth Vadar) he didn't blink one time in 38 seconds which was abnormal. (He appeared to be reading his statement and blinking rates decrease while reading.)

I watched his video again from the JVM show and he was blinking at a normal rate. (Whew!)

Hi all. I read about Mickey and followed the beginning of the case. Trying to catch up, but wondered if one of you would give me the short version. Any POI's in her disappearance yet? Video of her that night?

Obviously her parents should know because she lives with them. Her sister lives out of town.

We have the contradiction regarding BW saying it is normal for Mickey to bike home at that time of night and her sister Charlene saying she wouldnt do that.
ETA; axe above comment per poor reporting as posted above

http://www.katc.com/videos/search-is-on-for-missing-woman-10pm/

Another contradiction I am questioning is in the interview that BW gives he says, " somethings clearly unusual about these circumstances" he goes on and at the 1:29 mark he begins
"Mickey doesnt stay at other peoples houses, Mickey doesnt have boyfriends, Mickey doesnt have people that are mad at her, the usual suspects here arent really going on, um, she really would have just been going home"

If Mickey didnt spend the night at other peoples houses then why did it take up through the time of her brothers graduation to report her missing. From my understanding the family did go to the brothers graduation and were making calls and trying to track her down through friends, etc...but by the sounds of it they were not alarmed at 9am when Mickey wasnt home in her bed sleeping or there for breakfast. So, maybe she does spend the night out with friends occasionally.
I have young adult teenage girls who seldom ever spend the night out without telling me their plans. If they were not home at 9am and I couldnt reach them by phone and they were not with the friends they had plans with the previous night, I would be extremely alarmed. Enough to call 911 within the hour. I wouldnt be ablt to attend another childs function despite one of my girls missing.
JMO
I just find BW statement contradictory-something doesnt sit right in the series of events unfolding between the family reaction and BW covering the details of that night.

I watched Jane last night and thought that this BW was very strange acting. When they showed the clip of him crying in front of that house to the press I felt while watching that those were tears of "What did I do? I'm in alot of trouble tears!" My opinion of course!!! But just find him very strange acting. Maybe something did happen at the house when they got back there!??! Was he drinking? I know she wasn't but maybe he had a few and tried hitting(sexual) on her or something and she said no and he got very angry!! Maybe it was just an immediate outrage say strangle her or something. I don't know. I hate to accuse like this but something is just not right about this kid!! I do hope i'm wrong!

Great post. I would also like to know the answer to "was he drinking", because I also believe it went down as how you described "I know she wasn't but maybe he had a few and tried hitting(sexual) on her or something and she said no and he got very angry!!" IMO

I would also like to know if BW lived alone? An alternate theory would be she saw or found something in his dwelling that "alarmed" her. Or he "alarmed" her with something in the apartment and it was so bad that she threatened to call the police. Did she see something on his laptop? I think there is a disturbance report as she could of been trying to leave and he did not allow that to happen, so a struggle ensued, hence the noise leading to the disturbance complaint. Just trying to keep all options outside of the box open. IMO
