This is my first post. I attended UL several years ago so I've been following the case. From what I've seen, I don't believe BW is involved. I think the more time that goes by without finding her, the more I feel it wasn't a crime of passion that occurred when she was at his house. I simply don't think he has the means or ability to hide the body and all the evidence that well that LE hasn't been able to find anything. To me, this seems like someone took her and left the area. I could be wrong but I just felt the need to defend BW because I just don't feel like he did it.

Just wanted to say though that I enjoy reading everyone's posts. I hope they find her soon and I just feel horribly for her family and friends.

So there is video of someone going by on a bike....don't know if it's a girl or guy rider, poor quality of video. Plus the store time is off so they don't know exactly what time the rider passed the camera......

NOBODY IS SAYING WHERE THIS VIDEO WAS TAKEN! Aaarrrggghhhhhh....

Hopefully it's a clue so they'll atleast have a better starting point, I'm thinking perhaps they can look at the time it says on camera and look at the current time and figure out the difference.

They said they've narrowed it down to an hour, and it is the hour when Mickey would have left BW's home and been heading back to her place.

Great post, Bzarektah36. And I hate to say it, but I think you're right. As awful as it sounds, I so wanted it to be someone she knew. Because the alternative is even more awful: someone spending weeks or months following her around and getting to know her routine, then abducting her. That gives me chills. I could see something like that happening in New Orleans or even Baton Rouge, but Lafayette? Extremely scary :(

I think it could still be someone she knows....just not Brettly.

Huh? his first quote states the friends wanted to go home and didn't want food, they wanted to go home. Second quote he says they called and were going for food....
Off-topic, but love that Boston terrier avatar.

The chief of police said they can't ping her phone because of the type of phone she had ?? Did I hear that right?

I always thought cellphones could be pinged as long as they are on. I never heard that it all depended on what type of phone. :waitasec:

Hello Metermaid33, and welcome to WS!

Maybe they didn't want food whenever MS did.
I also assume that it was the same friends from Artmosphere, but he does not say that it was the same friends.
Lots of times my friends have gone to get food and I was either not hungry or having fun and not ready to go, but when I left the bar, I wanted to eat.

So is BW officially ruled out? Did NG ask the chief? I may have missed it.

That's another thing. He said he didn't have a bike rack. The front wheel should come off very easily and it could have fit in the trunk/hatchback, but heck, he could have taken her home and she could have someone drop her off the next day to pick it up...after her brother's graduation. It's not like she needed the bike for work or school the next morning.

Yup, sorry excuse..... no bike rack. Where there's a will there's a way...

Sorry if my posts are "old" I'm behind on posts. I'm normally just a lurker, but I guess I've finally decided to share my thoughts.

I hope they can find out if it's her or not. I don't know whether to hope it is or not, either way she gone :/ - but atleast the LE and the searchers will have a starting point as I said.

If you don't mind me asking where are you reading this? I'm reading on the "Find Mickey Shunick now" page..is there a different one?

From what I gather, you can ping any phone if it's on.
You can't ping every phone if it's off, only smart phones. Hers was not a smartphone

It's unbelievable that nothing was found. She had her backpack, a wallet, her cellphone, the mace....

I encourage anyone that wants more info to watch Nancy Grace. If you missed it, it will replay one hour from now. So many of my questions were answered. If there's any doubt in your mind about BW, I think that there won't be after watching.

Yeah I don't think he harmed Mickey. I just wish LE could officially rule him out.

The only reason I would stop while riding my bike home at 2 am would be if the police or someone in a uniform/authority figure MADE me.

  • #378
Do we know yet why several of BW's neighbours made police reports? How many would several be? Can I assume that BW did not call when the suspicious activity was going on?
What would be suspicious enough to make a police report?

  • #379
Can someone link me to where it says that BW's neighbors made statements about suspicious activity? I thought it was from residents further down her route, but I may be mixing up my stories.

Thanks, I wasn't sure when it came on. I'll be watching.
