I don't see wording covered up, but it looks like the ice cream tattoo might be covering up something that looks like a wine glass? Unless that is how the artist tried to depict shading.

Man, y'all have some good eyes. I could not see that on my laptop at all, not even when I zoomed in on the image. I see it now, and yes, definitely a wine/cocktail glass with a stem. The letters above don't quite look like "ALIZE" to me, though that would go along with the glass. I wonder if the L and the I were altered when the glass was covered. Not sure what to make of it. I do agree with the suggestion that she might have given up drinking at some point.

CarlK, I wasn't aware of the slang use of "strawberry". Thank you for enlightening me. Is it possible that a person would use a tattoo as a means to communicate a certain kind of non-verbal message?

I think there's something under the strawberry, too. I can't make out what it might be, but there seems to be a pale gray line connecting some of the black dots.

Found this: an EP titled I am Aisha. I think this Aisha is Dutch.

Notice how similar the writing on the cover is to the way the name Aisha is written in the tattoo. Not quite identical but very similar. Does anybody understand Dutch? Are the words she's singing the ones quoted in the tattoo?

Good find carbuff. I'm inclined to agree while not identical there is enough similiarity to wonder if perhaps the tatoo and above writing have anything to do with the song you found. I wonder if we can find the lyrics written in dutch and find an online translation of somekind.

I found two other musicians listed in Wikipedia that go by the name Aisha, but "I am Aisha", both on the tattoo and on the graphic for the video would pretty much confirm that this is the same Aisha.

If you want to go on the theory that the victim spoke Dutch, the following is a list of Dutch-speaking countries (or dutch-controlled islands).

St. Eustatius
St. Maarten

The Netherlands
Belgium

Perhaps she (or her family) is from one of these countries (or islands)

I don't know that I'd go as far as saying the similiarities between the tattoo and graphic are enough to confirm they are the same person. There are enough differences The A: The cross in center of the A, the way the left side swings and circles differently, the S is not completed in both and the line beneath the name are different, to say perhaps the UID is a fan of the artist and learning more about the song might assist with clues to this young ladies identity.

It's quite possible we could find the artist is alive and well somewhere...... and perhaps we should look more into the lyrics and determine first if the artist is alive and well.

A quick google search for "i am aisha" indicates there is some kind of release party with this song release dated 10-10-10, but I'm unable to determine if that means it is a newly released song or newly released to upload online.

I agree. I think the location of the words "I am" in relation to the location of "Aisha" would confirm to me the tattoo is definately based on the graphic. If the song has not been released in English or in the states it is probable the victim is a recently transfered student or someone visiting the area. Perhaps her family is not here in the states and unaware she is missing.
