I am thinking if we had a sketch we might be able to find someone who follows one of the blogs or youtube who resembles the victim. The victim must be a big fan of this artist - if she went as far to emulate the graphics via a tattoo. I think we'd have a good possibility searching for fans of this artist on various blogs, video's etc.

Carl - you're good at the calls want to give a call to the ME this week and see if they might have a sketch coming out soon and the above possible connection as to why?

Another thought.... if the victim is a student in the area, even if not a student at the school she was located, haven't most colleges not yet returned from winter break? It's been a long time since I attended college and don't recall when all winter breaks end, but I recall they were pretty long, a month or so. hmmmmm

It doesn't look like FreshDimez is Aisha's site. It looks like a to me like a cosmetics and fashion related site that has Aisha featured as the "fresh dime of the week".

I suspect that the 61 friends on the site are probably not there as fans of Aisha, but as fans of the blog.

"Alle volgers" translates to "All Followers", so my above speculation may be incorrect.

But I ran a few of the comments through Google Translate, and it looks like they are all commenting on the pros and cons of the various cosmetic products.

There are quite a few fans/friends on the youtube music video too. If we went with the assumption the victim had internet access as a huge fan of this artist it's possible she might be following one or several sites set up specifically for the artist. Thanks for the catch Carl. I too thought it was likely cosmetics but wasn't sure.

I agree it's mostly the cosmetics. She blogs about cuticle care, posts photos of different hair care products and facial cremes, chooses the best beauty buys etc. She has featured Aisha in a section called Fresh dime of the week which also includes links to Mary J. Blige, Angie Stone, Fantasia and other artists. I presume it's just some musicians that she likes or finds stylish. Imo this is not an Aisha blog and we're not that likely to find her diehard fans following this blog except by coincidence.

I just came across something intersting, but quite possibly very coincidental. There is a young lady that is a recent criminal justice graduate (Masters) from the University of Louisiana (Monroe) with the name Aisha. I wasn't sure if I should post her full name because I don't even know if she is missing...just thought it was coincidental. Haven't been able to check up on it and I gotta get out of here to pick my kids up from daycare.

That's an interesting coincidence but probably nothing more than that. Aisha is a fairly common name, and right now we're inclined to think she's a fan of the musician Aisha, rather than that being her own name (could be both of course). Glad you followed up on it, though.

STATESVILLE, NC (WBTV) - Police are looking for a 29-year-old woman who went missing in Statesville two months ago.

Statesville Police say April Thompson Blake was last seen in the area of the Fifth Street Shelter in last December. Her family is extremely concerned for her welfare.

April stands just over 5 feet tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

This case caught my attention...
There's no mention of identifying tattoos and the height is somewhat off. However, these measurements sometimes are taken from driver's licenses or from family's estimations of their loved one's height and weight and can be off by several inches.

It does not appear she has a tattoo of a winged heart on her right forearm, but the reports don't say whether the tattoo was on the front of back of the UID's right forearm.

• Two cherries attached to a stem were on the left side of her neck.
• Six red flowers were on her left arm, just below the shoulder.
• The word "BABYGIRL" was tattooed vertically on the woman's left forearm. A small rose is underneath the lettering.
• A butterfly was tattooed above her left ankle.
• Across the woman's shoulders on her upper back is "Goddess of Love" with a heart behind it.
• A red heart with aqua-colored wings was on her right wrist.
• Investigators found a blue and green butterfly with a red outline on the woman's back right hip.

• A red strawberry on her right arm below the shoulder.
• And on the front of her right leg, the image of an ice cream sundae with a cherry on top. The letters "ACTZE" are above it.
