FYI: Rayne, LA is nicknamed the Frog Capital of the World. It's annual Frog Festival is held at Gossen Memorial Park, which appears to be a couple of blocks away from where these remains were located.

RAYNE, La. – The human remains found in Acadia Parish have been identified as a missing Rayne man.

On Thursday, the remains were identified as Deion Hollier, according to the Acadia Parish Coroner's Office.

The last contact Hollier had with a family member was August 3, 2021, according to a spokesperson for the Rayne Police Department.

Three weeks later, human remains were located on Lillian G. Pierce Drive.
