**** WELFARE CONCERN ****
The Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office is attempting to locate Robert Lightfoot, age 81, of Austin, Texas. Mr. Lightfoot travelled to Pitkin yesterday for a family reunion. He departed Horace Johnson Road at approximately 2 p.m. on Saturday to return to Austin, Texas. Mr. Lightfoot has failed to return home. Lightfoot is driving a 2009 Toyota Sienna SUV, white in color, bearing Texas license plate # BX7R44.

VPSO is attempting to verify his safety and well-being. Anyone with any information is asked to contact VPSO immediately at 337-238-1311.

There are three potential Google Maps routes from Horace Johnson Rd. (Shown as Par Rd. 595) to Austin, TX. It's approx. a 5.75 - 6 hr. drive. Locals commenting on LE's FB post claim there were traffic delays and detours. I hope Mr. Lightfoot is located soon. He's in my prayers.

Gosh from Keller Texas to Austin is 300+ miles; that's a lot of area to cover :/

Some things I've read make me believe Mr. Lightfoot might have taken a wrong turn. Hopefully LE will be able to continue tracking him as he drives. IMO

MR LIGHTFOOT HAS BEEN LOCATED BY THE HOUSTON POLICE DEPARTMENT.
MR LIGHTFOOT IS SAFE AND A FAMILY MEMBER IS ENROUTE TO PICK HIM UP.
