I received an e-mail back today from Helen Bouzon regarding this case. Deborah Post is a rule out based on her NamUs dentals.


Thank you for sending this comparison. I checked it out and, assuming the dental information posted on NamUs is correct, the two do not match. Deborah has fillings in two teeth that are not present in the unidentified remains.

Has Patricia Vaughan been compared to Lake Ponchartrain Jane Doe? I only looked quickly but she has a similar face shape, red/ brown hair, and close in height.

Patty Vaughan didn't go missing until a decade after this Doe was found

Has Amanda Fravel been ruled out? I was going back to my notes today and I had them as a possible match. It seems like they're the same person. I contacted authorities twice back in 2007 about them being possible links. I was told they would pass my info along and check it out. Not sure if they ever compared the two but... Does anyone else think they are the same people?

the dates are far apart like by a few years, but also says a year after she went missing she called her family and then disappeared again, so Im assuming running away or hitchhiking were a thing for her, so she could have been doing that for a while until she was killed.
Long shot but just thought id throw it out there as she looks kinda like the original sketch of the Doe. And she was 20 when she went missing so in the age

Kinda seems like her ex husband killed her. But she may be too far away, about 5 hours, but you never know how far someone will go to dump a body.

There weren't any serial numbers on the implants, and I think it would be impossible to trace a rhinoplasty as there aren't serial numbers involved.

IMO with the distance from shore being 50 yards and given there was a weight around her neck indicates to me she had to be placed there by someone with a boat being weighted down do not forsee her floating away from shore. This area is dense with swamp there is alot more residences (apartments and camps) in the area now however could imgaine back in the 80's there was Nothing more than a few camps.

True there is no mention of breast implants, but I am not 100 percent sure those would definitely be mentioned by a family member as it is a personal thing and not all family may be aware. Especially if they have not seen someone for a while. I did find an article that states serial numbers were not the norm on implants prior to the 90's. I know I read several posts where people were thinking maybe black market but since the FDA was not requiring it they very well may have been legitimate.

Wonder if her DNA has been submitted to ancestry, sometimes this can be succesful potentially linking her to a relative with a DNA match up. Have seen this when people are looking for long lost relatives of course a relative of PJD would have to be in their system. Its worth a shot....


someone had mentioned earlier if any dna was taken from the fetus ... Would be curious not sure if it would help much however it could also be a clue.


wondered if she was a runaway at an earlier age, there are numerous cases where a runaway was never reported missing.

Had a realtive that left home in his teens and was never reported missing, he did contact family 40+ years later thou.

With her dental , cosmetic surgeries she seems to have been well maintained that is not cheap
