Lucie is listed as having protruding upper teeth. Carl, do you know if this would be consistent with LPJD, given that her teeth are listed as 'perfect'?

I was thinking that braces could have fixed the teeth. I googled protruding teeth and while protruding they appear to me in perfect alignment. When pushed back for years with braces I think perfect teeth are attainable.

Update I got a reply to my email the people handling Lucies case have the info and are looking into it Pontchartrain JD's case worker has not gotten back to me tho. Should I try emailing the department handling the case so they can work together. Or is Lucies ppl looking into it enough? This is the first time I've submitted something.

I expect Lucie will turn out not to be a match, but she may well be a match for another Jane Doe. Somebody has already said that Lucie could be a match for Buckskin girl.

That may be the case. But my gut is telling me there is a strong possibility its her. And it also could turn out as a match it might be a longshot. But stranger things have happened. all areas should be explored thinking outside the box has solved many cases. If it turns out its her or another doe thats wonderful ill be happy any outcome to solve this. for closure for the family. I'm just sharing my thoughts and beliefs. I've heard she's been submitted for the buckskin case and someone else thought she resembled the sumpter county doe female. As well I don't know if that's been submitted. But in my opinion she resembles Lucie the most they look identical. I've asked others and most agree that the resemblance is uncanny. I'd post my side by side but I don't know how to upload pics.

Well, we will know for sure once the comparison is made.

You will find that most Websleuthers are a bit cynical about a lot of suggested matches. We all see so many potential matches being submitted where the similarities are unbelievable. Where they look totally alike, the vital statistics match perfectly, the circumstances fit like a glove... and then it turns out its not a match.

I have been excited about potential matches so many times on Websleuths, and then ended up being disappointed. I'm not trying to rain on your parade - I think the comparison is well worth making, and you never know!

"Perfect" in this context only means that all 32 teeth are still there, and have no restorations, cavities, chips, etc. It doesn't mean perfectly aligned.

Carl is spot on... From the notes she had good teeth or as said great dental hygiene .. She did lack wisdom teeth

IMO the teeth being perfect placed her at lower end of the age scale .. I did not have any dental issues till the latter 30's .. Due to using whitening toothpaste that break down enamel

Don't get encouraged...Just follow your gut feeling. It's nice to have people in this thread who can look with you. I "use" other eyes to put my own feelings/ideas about a possible match in perspective. I did submit some possible matches because I had "no reasonable doubt" anymore (a lot off stats alike, a logical story, distance lost and found, the type, the looks etc.) ...no matches so far...but helpful in a case because people are ruled out doing this and we can focus on other missing persons and go on...

Wow. That is major. I wonder if they've run that print recently. If they can ID the killer, I'm thinking they should be able to ID the JD.

Valid point! Found this on fbi site: "The CJIS Division recommends latent fingerprint images submitted prior to 2013 be resubmitted to the NGI system if no identification was made during the initial search." Time to take advantage of the newer tech.
