Found a few more articles BOT .. she was exhumed Sept 4 2003

ThanX

There is not much to find about the medical metals used in the 80's (at least not so far) and how long they last in a decomposing body. During life time most medical metal alloys used will last approx.15 years, then a new operation is needed. They are not "gone" by then but have to be replaced. So it's save to say that if LPJD had pins or the like, they would still be there, at least traces of it, also depending on what kind of alloy was used. Anyone with more specific knowledge about this?

I found a case not listed in NAMUS yet that a couple posters have mentioned could be Lake Pontchartrain Jane Doe: Annette Campbell Dodd missing from Summerville, Georgia since Apr 1986. There is not much info on her case yet. Her height may be off to be LPJD-- as an old "missing" flyer says she was 5' 9". I don't know that she looks like LPJD or if anything else lines up but thought I would post a link to her thread anyway because of the date she went missing. https://www.websleuths.com/forums/s...te-Campbell-Dodd-26-Summerville-19-April-1986

I read somewhere that the first reconstruction of her is actually her post mortem photo with a bit of touch up. So I usually compare to this image of her. Bare in mind she was found in summer and in water so face might be a bit bloated.

LPJD was initially estimated at 5'7" so I don't think Annette should be ruled out on height alone.

I noticed that DNA Doe Project recently (within the last couple weeks) 'liked' the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office facebook page... DDP has only 'liked' sheriff pages associated with Lyle Stevik and his ancestry, Buckskin Girl and Valentine Jane Doe as well as this one. I think this is a good sign that she is possibly an upcoming case, or at least being very seriously considered!

LPJD either is an MP that was never reported or is an MP that does not have DNA or Dental's in the systems. There are a couple that are likely candidates however until something moves with their status it will remain unknown for sure.

One thing I feel is that she was from a warmer climate area with a lot of sun, that could be along the Gulf Coast to Florida or west to Texas and as far a California.

The past couple of months, have traveled over the Twin Spans numerous times and each time I look over and ask her to show a sign of a direction to look for her identify. Sounds crazy ... but ya know things can happen in mysterious ways.

I really do think they'll take her case on soon... she has all the characteristics of an easier GEDMatch DNA identification: white, young, and discovered quickly after death & I know they're trying to do some apparently easier cases first.

Def see a facial resemblance, well manicured eyebrows, large eyes, more similar to the original sketch. Age would be the mid level and hair color right .... She was married and that is what we all assume LPJD was a wife or could have been a fiance .. either way their are similarities. Question do we know if Annette had breast implants and if the height given of 5'9" is accurate.

The only way to know for sure is by Annette's DNA being put in NAMUS

Reading the circumstances of Annette, IMO her husband did it and she is buried or in a ravine somewhere in the Little River Canyon area.

Was researching a bit more on Cox Uphoff the company marketed their implant as a specialized device for women whom had cancer surgery. It is food for thought that the implants may have been for a medical reason vs vanity.

Good point, since they're described as somewhat smaller than the usual implants. If she had reconstructive surgery after cancer or an accident or something, she might have chosen something closer to her own breasts rather than looking for an enhancement.

Exactly carbuff that is what is dancing around in my head at the moment. ;)

everyone has their own preference in size however IMO her implants (200 cc) were rather small compared to the size most women whom are doing it for purpose of vanity enhancement. Most people I know that have had them go at least in the 300 + range and several go back a 2nd time because they want bigger .. LOL .

All thou according to CUI 200 cc was widely used by surgeons. Do have a friend breast cancer survivor hers are in upper 200 range. Dug up some articles in the late 70's to very early 80's CUI primarily marketed their implant to cancer recovery surgeons. All thou that does not mean it was their sole market however it appears it was the majority. Something that I did not understand is that their was no mention of a scar from breast augmentation. They become faint after a few years however their still is a scar, the naval insertion did not occur until 91. Maybe LE considered it irrelevant however some surgeons have a signature insertion; armpit, areola, breast fold it still could be a clue.

IMO LPJD was in an accident of some sorts, have resorted to looking for car and motorcycle accidents in the few years prior to her discovery. Needle in a haystack ... were going on 32 years with no identification and no new leads since the America's Most Wanted broadcast.

*************************************************
There were no serial numbers on the breast implants. Investigators consulted New Orleans plastic surgeons for assistance where the size and manufacturer were determined. It was also advised that most plastic surgeons in the New Orleans area use larger implants.

The implant manufacturer Cox-Uphoff spokesman provided the Sherriff’s office a list of plastic surgeons around the country who have ordered the 200cc size implant. Cox-Uphoff spokesman said the size is common in the US and estimated 500-700 doctors across the country order the 200cc size every year. Detectives have called or written 175 physicians for help. When you go out of this area it begins to get lost doctors way up in the Northeast of the country may not be as helpful to assist.
