FOX8 news (WVUE) said he has relatives in Gulfport so that's why Federal agents were able to find him there.

So sad for Taylor and her family that this creature couldn't keep to himself and mind his own business. :furious:

Yes. Sheriff Jones said they were able to trace him to Gulfport because his family had been cooperating with LE throughout the investigation. I'm glad to know his family did the right thing.

I remember hearing that on last night's news, that the family was cooperating. They said there had been a search of the home about 10 houses away from the Taylor home. I was heartened to know the suspect's family was assisting. We don't always see that in murder cases, unfortunately.

Was it a rumor posted on here last night that she had dated him and recently broken it off?
There seems to be confusion about whether the perp is the ex-boyfriend, or if the ex is different guy. I've read comments alluding to both.

Did he.....rape her? Are they saying?
More confusion. The other day, Sheriff Jones said no. Locals posted here that they were told otherwise. So, IDK.

Maybe Cajun Girl or Colleend will bring us more info later.

He has a great family. He was a bad seed, unfortunately.

His sister and girlfriend turned him in originally. Friends & family cooperated throughout and pointed them in the direction of Mississippi.

I gathered as much from looking over his FB friends. Typical good, southern Louisiana people. I feel very bad for them.

I just got home! They caught him, great
now I hope they give him some good, old fashioned
justice. Peace of scum, worthless trash.

there will be a candlelight vigil tomorrow night at the sheriff's office for Taylor. Her wake will be Friday night and her funeral on Saturday morning.

This is a very sensitive subject for the victims family and friends.
I'd rather not discuss the suspect, his family or anything about him really.
The only thing I'm concerned about is getting justice.

Here's an update. Seems they did know each other, but LE isn't divulging the motive or what evidence they have to show he was at the scene. The article also states he has a history of violent behavior.

Neighbor will be booked...
Three days after a 15-year-old LaPlace girl was found beaten to death in her bedroom, a 27-year-old neighbor has been apprehended and will be booked with her murder, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Wayne L. Jones said Wednesday.

Authorities say Earnest Joseph, III, who lived down the street from Taylor Adams, beat her to death early Sunday morning after an intense struggle inside the house.

Jones said Wednesday that Adams and Joseph knew each other. However, authorities would not describe a motive for the killing.
Jones said tips from the community led them to Joseph as a possible suspect, but he would not say what evidence they have that ties Joseph to the scene.

Me also. There had to be something wrong there if he's going around beating 15 year olds to death and doing drugs...idk im just glad justice is being served.

It just hurts me so much inside to know she struggled before she died. Didn't people hear her....why couldn't he have just left her alone. People are saying "oh what is a 27 year old doing hanging out with a 15 year old" well, idk if people know but, nowadays that happens often. Age isn't as much as a problem as it used to be. I just wish people would quit passing judgement on Taylor for being his friend....they might have just known each other from living 10 houses away from eachother, who says they hung out all the time. Idk it just sucks, and it makes me even more sad i won't be able to make it home for the wake....

I'm not passing judgement on Taylor.

But, I disagree that age isn't as much as a problem as it used to be. If this guy was more than a "wave to the neighbor" kinda friend, it is VERY odd. You're talking about a 15year old child and an almost 30 year old man. It's not a normal thing for a 27 year old man to "hang out" with a 15 year old child.

Everyone is entitled to they're opinion and me being 18 i know that teenagers tend to friend older people. Its just the way things are now. People need to stop blaming the victim and start blaming him for befriending a 15 year old knowing that it wasn't right. IMO i think he was just a neighbor that she was friendly with from time to time and talked to from time to time. I know that area and everyone knows everyone, thats just how LaPlace is,its a very small town. I don't think they dated like people are saying. I just think people should stop blaming the victim like they're doing in some of the comments of the articles.

BBM - You're right. I was expressing mine.

I agree the victim should not be blamed. That's not happening here is it? If you see a post that blames the victim, hit the little triangle and report it. WS is victim friendly.

Oh no not on here. Trust me they'd hear it from me if they did. I was reading news articles and they had plenty blaming Taylor for wearing makeup and being friends or dating a 27 year old and letting him in and blaming the mother for leaving her alone...makes me sick to my stomach.

No one deserves to die like that... No one deserves the pain. Regardless of the situation.

Taylor was a sweet, caring girl. Had her whole life ahead of her.
