LA LA - Tova Barnett, 19, Baton Rouge, 2 Dec 2000

Thank you to all those who kept Tova's name alive. I'm the creator and host of the podcast. I love your recap @Murkywaters. I'm eagerly waiting for you to recap episode 2. It is straight to the point.

As someone who graduated with Tova and was her friend her story breaks my heart. I'm confident that someone will reach out to me and talk about what might have happened. It does not matter how long it has been, everyone deserves justice.

Anyone with information can email me at [email protected] and follow us on instagram as I will release information on her case. Instagram Instagram.com/foundmissingtv

Thank you, Michelle. I have been so busy throughout the holidays and I only just saw this now. Thank you for creating this podcast and advocating for Tova. For years, Tova's case has intrigued me due to the fact that there were so few details available. I was too perplexed by the fact that there appeared to be no media coverage and no appeals for information from the family. It's good to see the circumstances of Tova's disappearance are finally coming to light, and hopefully the person or people responsible for this are getting nervous.

Here is a link to episode 2: This episode makes a strong case for Tova's disappearance to be reclassified as a homicide investigation, as opposed to a ''Missing Person''. Tova’s family appears to believe she is deceased. Tova’s stepfather, who passed away in 2006, listed her as having predeceased him, and in 2017 one of her sister’s shared a social media post with the caption ‘’gone but not forgotten’’

At this time, the name or any additional information about Tova's girlfriend is unknown. Tova's classmate, who was in communication with the sheriff’s department at the time of the disappearance, stated that Tova’s girlfriend is a suspect but was hemmed up on different charges. It appears that without a body, weapon, or other evidence, the case went cold. I would interested to learn if any searches for Tova were ever conducted and if the girlfriend was ever interviewed.
