Potential new developments in Tracy Winslow's case

Relatives have confirmed to KSLA News 12 that investigators have asked for the dental records of Tracy Winslow.

Winslow, from Caddo Parish, was reported missing on January 24th. She disappeared around midnight from outside her mother's Oil City apartment, and her car was found burned that morning near Kuhn Road.

Investigators now want to compare those records with skeletal remains found Thursday in Bossier City. Police have even called in a forensic anthropologist to help identify those remains.

Winslow Disappearance Still Under Investigation

It's a case that's haunted her family, as well as Caddo Parish detectives.

January 23, 2012 marks one year since 30-year-old Tracy Winslow disappeared, but investigators have never given up hope of discovering exactly what happened to her.

Lt. Rehak says investigators discovered that Jackson made a phone call to friends asking to be picked up near where Winslow's Dodge Charger was discovered on fire."

At this point, we believe he kidnapped her. He kidnapped her shortly before midnight on the 23rd," Lt. Rehak said.

Eddie Jackson was arrested and charged with second degree kidnapping and aggravated assault. He is currently in Caddo Correctional Center awaiting trial.

Lt. Rehak says as recently as last week, investigators were searching three different areas in north Caddo Parish for clues to Winslow's disappearance.

Jury selection underway in case of missing Oil City woman

Jury selection is underway for the trial of an Oil City man charged with kidnapping his ex-girlfriend and setting her car on fire.

Tracy Winslow remains missing, but authorities believe they have enough evidence to charge 41-yer-old Eddie Jackson with one count each of kidnapping and simple arson.

Missing woman's children take stand in kidnapping, arson trial

Testimony continued Monday in the trial of the man accused of kidnapping an Oil City woman and setting fire to her car. Among those taking the stand, the couple's two oldest children, both in their teens.

[snip]

In court Monday, jurors heard from Winslow's cousin, Felicia Holden. Holden testified to the troubles Jackson and Winslow had been having around the time of her disappearance, and how Winslow had moved out of the house they shared and in with her mother. She also testified that Winslow had begun a new relationship with another man around the same time.

[snip]

That testimony was followed by that of 16-year-old S. The couple's oldest child recalled the Thanksgiving 2010 incident at the family's home, in which she says "He told her to get out and get her stuff, and get out, and then he told her that he would kill her. And then he shot the ceiling."

Wow, I never heard of this case. So sad that they still don't know where she is and that there are children (teens) involved. The kids lose both ways. Their mom is gone and there dad is most likely responsible.

Thanks for so faithfully posting on it,SB.

Thank you for these updates on this sad story. I feel so badly for TW's family and wonder what kind of a father these children EVER had??!! It does not appear that the father cares about them and I hope they are loved by other family members and protected from any more hatred and violence. God be with them.
