Family, police searching for missing teenager

Eighteen-year-old Vonshonkee Charles hasn't been seen or heard from in a week. He was last seen on August 21 in Ville Platte

Family members and police are searching for a teenager who went missing in Ville Platte last week.

Vonshonkee Charles, who goes by "Shonkee," is 18 years old and was last heard from on August 21 at about 1 p.m.

He was last seen on foot in Ville Platte, but no one has seen him since.

The Dock Ellis Foundation is working with the family of 18 years old Vonshonkee Charles, who goes by "Shonkee," he was last heard from on August 21 at about 1 p.m. He was last seen on foot in Ville Platte, but no one has seen him since. Shonkee was wearing a grey hoodie & shorts.

Evangeline Parish authorities recovered the body of the missing Ville Platte teen was found Tuesday evening.

VILLE PLATTE, La. (KLFY) — Evangeline Parish authorities recovered the body of the missing Ville Platte teen was found Tuesday evening.

The body of 18-year-old VonShonskee “Shonskee” Charles was found late Tuesday afternoon in Ville Platte on Colt Avenue, just outside of Ville Platte.

“Shonskee” was reported missing by his family on Aug. 21.

Officials are still on the scene and an investigation is under way into the cause of his death.
