Brown was last seen at his residence on Avenue A in Marrero, Louisiana on June 10, 1993. He was planning to drive to Holt, Florida, about 250 miles east to a visit an unknown male. He has never been heard from again.
The next day, Brown's Ford LTD was located abandoned at a rest stop along Interstate 10 in Holt, Florida. It was in good running condition and the keys were in the ignition.
Prior to his disappearance, Brown had been an informant for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) and was allegedly fearful for his life. Brown's wife filed a claim on his life insurance within days of his disappearance and moved to Florida shortly afterwards. His whereabouts remain unknown.
