Lamar Odom fighting for life after overdosing at brothel

  • #161
Yes I believe Khloe loved him and still does. There was not a lot said on the show about Lamar but it did come out in dribbles. Khloe was devastated Lamar had gone down that road. One episode where she finally admitted to her Family how bad it was she said she sat alone on her Birthday and lied to her Family. Lamar was MIA. Would go off for days and no clue where he was. Family encouraged her to leave but it took her awhile to reach that point. I remember a few scenes where Lamar called Khloe when she left him. Words from him were barely audible. She still kept in touch with him even after the split. I think she worried this would happen.
Thank you very much Bravo (and Popsicle), I appreciate it. Very sad, any way you look at it. Do you happen to know if he was an addict before he became rich and famous?

Yes and Lamar's Dad being a heroin addict would be the last person who should be involved in any way. IMO

Their relationship seemed almost perfect. Sometimes she might have babied him too much, and that might have caused a little tension. Also, she was having trouble conceiving.

IMO their troubles started when he got traded to Dallas.
I don't think Lamar was ever the same after that. He was pretty much devastated.

And I hate to speak ill of the dead....but Lamar's BFF was a really bad influence on him.

I agree.. It was reported on one of the shows that he had been having multiple affairs and doing lots of drugs to the point where she didn't know where he was for days ... His phone would be off , she did say she was trying to fix it but it was falling on deaf ears..

Thank you- all of these explanations have put things in perspective for me. The only Kardashians I don't like are Kim (I think she's a real nut- as is her hubby) and Kris (She reminds me of the Madam of a high class bordello)- the rest seem alright from what I've seen and read.

Did she love him, in your opinion? Did they love each other? Is she a money grubber? Was that her motivation?

She definitely loved him in my opinion, and no I never saw her as a money grubber. He made it hard for her to disengage from the relationship and turned up where she was from time to time, I assume that happened more often that we were ever witness to. In recent episodes Khloe was seen taking calls from Lamar, and Kim complained to her about it and said hearing her flirt on the phone with him 'made her sick'.

Please, stop trying to blame any person, place, or thing for choices Lamar Odom made himself.
Drug and alcohol addiction is a disease. The problem has been out now for a long time.
Odom's father probably had the most power, in the way of influence, to help Lamar overcome his addictions if he had been able to overcome his own.
You live what you know by what you've learned. Genetics play a large part too.

From what I've seen on the TV show, Khloe loves Lamar and tried to deal with and help him. She had no choice other than to let him go due to his addictions. It appeared, in the latest show, she was still struggling to do so too. Trying to rescue an addict is like repeatedly hitting your head against a wall. As you watch a person you love spiral downward, the heartbreak becomes too much. Those same sweet people often become abusive if you get in their way or question them about their destructive habits. For this reason, Kim wanted to see Khloe break free emotionally from Lamar. Kim is right, not mean, unfeeling or selfish.

Scott Disick would be wise to seek help now.
People can live sober lives and be happy.

Ok. The last piece of the puzzle is now in place. Thanks Bravo. Where is his mother?

It was before he became rich and famous however, I believe it started with MJ back then.

Drug rumors and some doubts about his character bumped him from the top spot in the 1999 draft down to the fourth pick, which is where the Clippers found him.

Agree if Scott doesn't get his act together he will be next. Already OD'd once. Glad to see Kourtney finally left him. Again another long process coming to the realization she couldn't help Scott.

Lamar Odom took 10 Reload pills over the course of 3 days before he fell into unconsciousness -- according to people at the brothel -- and the FDA says the pills are so dangerous they've advised consumers to throw them away IMMEDIATELY.
