Lamar Odom fighting for life after overdosing at brothel

What men do you speak of?

The men I am speaking of is Bruce, Kris Humphries, Scott Disick, Lamar Odom and even if Rob is a family member and not a love interest.

"The Kardashians have just survived and thrived longer than their peers because they’ve shown greater drive, determination, smarts and creativity.

And that, in its way, is a talent worthy of admiration.

But those sucked into their crazy world need to be very, very careful it doesn’t also suck them down in the process.

When Lamar Odom met Khloe Kardashian in 2009, he was an outstandingly good basketball player. I know, because I used to watch him at the LA Lakers performing wondrous feats with his great friend Kobe Bryant, helping them win back-to-back NBA championships in 2009 and 2010."

It seems clear that you disagree with my post. Let's agree to disagree and move on.

JMO's

I think this Hof guy should just shut his mouth. Who is he to tell Khloe to go to hell? Has he forgotten that Lamar was found, half dead, on his business premises? And now he has the nerve to try and send people to his hookers websites? Ryder Cherry? Seriously?

What an odious little man. Barf. I soooooo wish the media would stop speaking with him. He's a disgrace to human kind.

How much of these so called reality shows are real, and how much is scripted? Does a person really get to know the real dynamics of families on these shows, or is it all thrown out there to make it more exciting, and of course throw in a few arguments to make it more fun. I've watched a few reality shows over the years, and some were so bad, I really couldn't stop watching week to week. With the Kardashians' it did appear Khloe and Lamar loved each other, and I'm sure other things on the show was real, but how much of it wasn't? I can sure see how a reality show could destroy a person, and see how it could rip apart a family. You really have to be tough as nails to put up with all the cameras, and people knowing everything about your life. People were watching and reading about this man's life spiraling out of control, I don't think these reality shows are good ideas, but obviously I'm in the minority considering how popular they are. This entire tragedy is very sad, and I feel sorry for the people who truly love him.

Reality shows have cheaper production costs compared to other shows, that is one reason they are proliferating. There are a few that are OK,(I like Pawn Stars and there is this new series called Cuban Chrome) but most of them don't appeal to me at all.

Okay. Think about that When your divorced hubby that you hated has the rights to pull the plug and take your estate due to some legal mumbo jumbo.

That cannot happen, not even with my current husband.

Lamar would have had access to legal advice for his estate planning, especially since he was in the final stages of divorce from Khloe. I'd say it's most likely his assets were already held in trust, or an arrangement in place for them to be placed in a trust, upon his death, with his children named as beneficiaries, until both children reached maturity, or similar, was already in place.

As far as 'pulling the plug' it would be up to him to nominate someone or simply go with a next of kin, which may in this case still be Khloe, but it's certainly not a decision she can just make on her own.

That's pretty much standard operational procedure, I'm sure the law differs slightly in California from where I live, but not too much I'd imagine.

Lamar Odom's life of high drama, on and off the court

As a kid on the gritty streets of Queens, Lamar Odom wanted to ride his fiery talent to the NBA.

A lefty with the strength of a rebounder and the touch of a sharpshooter, he would lean on those skills to move away from the crime that beckoned him, the classes that bored him, the addict father who bedeviled him. More at link . . .

Thanks for the articles WichitaFalls. He sure was an amazing talent during his NBA days!

Maybe, but the divorce has been stated to not have been finalized yet

Sounds to me like there is bad news here since everyone appears to be gathering at the hospital.... :(

His condition is so bad, that I honestly hope he passes. It has been said that he had a few strokes and has suffered brain damage, heart damage, and his kidneys and lungs are failing. I really don't believe that he wants to live like that. I hope he can free himself and find love in his mother's arms. :candle:

Just because he was rich doesn't mean he set up a proper trust or will. In Whitney Houstons case: If she died before the divorce was signed off. Bobby would have gotten the money. Because she didn't change her will in 20 years.

Rich people families argue all the time due to a hated spouse ending up with a parents money. Because the parent never changed the will while spiraling out of control. Jmo

Estate planning might have not been on his list of priorities. It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't do anything of the sort.

Sadly, we shall see.

While Lamar Odom, 35, and his father, Joe Odom, have had a rocky relationship for most of Lamar’s life, the pair finally put the bad times behind them and repaired their relationship this past year. And now that Lamar is fighting for his life, following a reported drug overdose, Joe won’t leave his bedisde. HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE info on how they mended their relationship.

But she shouldn't be entitled to his estate if he dies since they did sign divorce papers even though the lazy judge still hasn't sign off on the divorce agreement yet.

If 2 people decide to divorce and agree to terms and signs everything. Then why is some lazy judge taking 3 months to seal the deal. This is the only reason she has a say on things.

Would you want your ex signing a do not resuscitate on your behalf if you know that they will only do it to get your estate. Especially since they have the right due to some lazy judge.

So don't be blind. Momma Jenner is there to make sure her daughter and Lawyers can gain finances just in case things go to worst.

So I hope the judge signs off now. Especially if he was my dad. Jmo

I don't think Khloe needs any of LaMar's money. She is probably worth more than he is. He has been spending every dime he ever made partying and on drugs the last few years. Khloe truly gave him every chance and tried to help him. She had a very hard time dealing with the divorce. I am sure this will set her back again.
