Lamar Odom fighting for life after overdosing at brothel

  • #241
I don't think Khloe needs any of LaMar's money. She is probably worth more than he is. He has been spending every dime he ever made partying and on drugs the last few years. Khloe truly gave him every chance and tried to help him. She had a very hard time dealing with the divorce. I am sure this will set her back again.

Is it ever about needing the money? Do any of the Ks actually need more money? Yet they still have their reality TV show and whatever other things they do to make money.

I would prefer to hear from Khloe rather than Hof. If and when Khloe chooses to speak out. This guy will be on 2 shows this evening. I'm sure he has a "business" to protect. Jerk!!!! IMO

I can't imagine any kind of celebrity, politician, etc ever going to his place again. He can't be trusted!! What a jerk.

He was promoting the girls who found Lamar on NG, saying you could go to view them on the website for the brothel.

I think I am going to vomit.

  • #244
This brothel owner had a reality tv show on HBO about his brothel and clients visiting this brothel. I don't think the guy is known for his discretion.

  • #245
I think this Hof guy should just shut his mouth. Who is he to tell Khloe to go to hell? Has he forgotten that Lamar was found, half dead, on his business premises? And now he has the nerve to try and send people to his hookers websites? Ryder Cherry? Seriously?

When his 15 minutes of fame is over, he will regret his actions. Hope they find grounds to shut his whole place down. LOLOLOL

Brothel owner will have lots of explaining to do when all the drug tests are completed. How could they not know he was doing crack cocaine and other drugs? And he said no illegal drugs were found in the room so how does that work exactly if he took an overdose of said drugs?!

EXACTLY. i think someone cleaned up the room before anyone called the EMTs.

While it appears this brothel owner is no pillar of society, I think Lamar and only Lamar is responsible for the drugs/alcohol used, if in fact that turns out to be a factor here. I am a huge Lamar Odom basketball fan. I've always had a soft spot for him, but I also know that he appears to have had some serious mental health and addiction issues. My prayers are with Lamar and his family.

Just to clarify:
Khloe arranged for Lamar's dad, children and their mother to come out. Lamar's mother died when he was young.

I'm glad there is so much support for Lamar but of course it means the prognosis is bad. :(
It's always so sad when these hugely talented people end up like this.

Khloe is doing the right thing so far. She paid for his mom and dad to come to Las Vegas to be with their son according to this news story about Rob K.

When I read that I thought it meant the children's mother.

I feel bad for everyone involved. They are going to have to make decisions and they aren't going to be easy. Removing life support is one thing, but there are decisions made about whether to continue IVs, whether to suction etc. We went through this with my mom when she had a massive brain aneurysm. The EEG showed no activity. We removed everything. She survived for 48 hours afterward. However, my mom was old, frail and had severe scoliosis which hastened her passing. If we had decided to continue IVs or suctioning, she probably would have survived several weeks. My mom already had prepared a living will, so my dad knew exactly what to do.

Lamar's situation reminds me of Bobbi Kristina Brown's. He may have brain damage, but may have enough brain activity to breath etc. It's just a sad situation. He's young. The family situation involves Khloe, his children, his father etc. I'm sure Khloe will try to respect his family's wishes.........

Former NBA star Lamar Odom had been using cocaine on Saturday, employees at the Nevada brothel where he was found unresponsive four days later told 911 dispatchers, Nye County Sheriff Sharon Wehrly told reporters Wednesday.

I'm sorry for your loss and appreciate your candid insight into that process and what decisions need to be made. I agree that Khloe will most likely try to respect his family's wishes as well in regards to any decision making or at least try to jointly make any decisions with them even if she is ultimately the only one who legally can inform the doctors of these decisions.

I remember watching one episode when kris had to decide who would sort things out when the time came for her , if she was ill or passed away , in the end she chose Khloe because she felt she had the biggest heart and would make the right decisions, and would do right by everyone ,

I think she's a very sensible woman with a huge heart ,

I bet she's in pieces right now .

Lamar repeatedly 'pleaded' with Khloe to stop reality show filming their phone conversations before overdose: Comatose NBA star begged for privacy before blowing 75k on four-day brothel bender that led to his collapse as family gather round

Source says Khloe refused Odom's pleas and that the Kardashians 'have blood on their hands'

Odom, 35, has been in a coma since Tuesday when he collapsed from a suspected drug overdose at a brothel

A new report says he spend $75k during his four-day stay at Dennis Hof's Love Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada

Lamar has been in and out of rehab for a very long time. I believe three or four times last year.

Noone has blood on their hands. He is an addict.

I'd have to find a link but I'm at work at the moment and can't.. But I read in MSM that in the last episode of KUWTK or the new one on Sunday, Kim was saying how Lamar made her want to vomit, ect. I cannot stand any of them but Khloe. She seems to be the only one with her head on straight. I think it's actually a good thing she is right now considered next of kin and is making all the choices. I don't think it's for the money on her part.. Maybe her mother's part yes. But khloe's? No. She truly loves Lamar. And I'm sure she just wants what's best for him. If or when he passes she won't let his children walk away with nothing. He is/was their father. Khloe is the best one to make these choices. I had to do that for my mom when she died 2 years ago. Coming to the realization that my mother WAS going to die and that I needed to speak to hospice was the hardest thing I had to do. And it was even harder because I was being lied to by the hospital because they would tell me she was coming around and doing better. Plus my BEEEEEEEEEPing uncle was in my ear trying to force me to do stuff. Khloe will make the right decisions. And as far as calling the judge lazy.. IT WAS THE COURT NOT THE JUDGE. who knows. Maybe the judge knew something like this would happen and they thought Khloe would be the best person to be in charge. Things happen for a reason. Praying for Lamar.. I too have a soft spot for him and I hope a miracle happens and he pulls through this.

I had a feeling that the KUWTK episode Sunday had something to do with Lamar's overdose.

And I think that's why Kris Jenner ran to Lamar's bedside, as executive producer of the show. And Kim? She said all kinds of mean things about Khloe and Lamar's relationship on Sunday night.

__________

Authorities have also not ruled out a possible suicide attempt.

A source said: 'He was all freaked out about Khloe, fixated on her. He was showing the girls photos of them together and wanted to pour his heart out, he wasn't there just for sex, he needed a shoulder to cry on, companionship. He seemed lost. 'Lamar seemed really stressed out when he showed up, the girls tried to relax him and gave him a full body massage. 'But ultimately he wanted to party and would break down in tears from time to time. He told the girls he was a broken man, that he thought his life was a mess and he had no direction. 'He was partying non-stop, using cocaine and taking Viagra and the girls saw other drugs paraphernalia lying around.

Odom's father Joe wore a colorful shirt and Nike sneakers to visit his son at the hospital on Wednesday and was later seen buying a suit at a tall and large store

Kim's baby shower was planned for this weekend. She has now cancelled the event which had a Troop Beverly Hills theme.
Investigators are looking into whether Odom had visitors during his time at the brothel and what phone calls he may have made from there.

This resonates with me. I didn't know LO but from what I do know I can't help but feel he would hate how he's being portrayed. He was a decent, kind man with many demons that had an amazing physical skill that took him to great heights in the professional basketball world. I wish the press would drop the Kardashian Reality Star buzz. He was much more way before he joined the K family. Seems like it so cheapens his legacy and is something that would make him cringe. MOO

Stories Of Lamar Odom's Kindness Pour In From Around The NBA

5. And as a bonus: ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt explained why it’s an injustice to Odom to spin this story as a dramatic Kardashian tale.

Van Pelt's words are worth quoting at length:

… I saw a tweet from rapper Bun B that got to me. It was about Lamar Odom, who fights for his life in a Vegas hospital. His plight was described by entertainment-based shows in this way, and I quote: “Kardashian reality star in a coma.” … “Kardashian reality star”? No, no, no, no. Lamar Odom, unlike for those for whom fame is oxygen, whose fame comes in the absence of accomplishment, his fame was earned ... To read the tweets from the stars still in the league was to feel genuine anguish for a brother who has had an unspeakably difficult road and who has struggled mightily to find his footing post-NBA. Passed out in a brothel makes for a hell of a headline and I’m sure quite a juicy episode of TV, but stripped to the foundation, it’s just incredibly sad. All of it. A man who’s dealt with so much loss, unable to find his way. Who’s unfortunate reality becomes a plotline in alleged reality. I understand not everyone watches sports, but “Kardashian reality star”? His name is Lamar Odom, and we knew it long before he got married on a TV show we don’t watch.
