Lance Briere was last seen when he left the Gwich'in Wellness Camp, in Northwest Territories on February 8, 2025, with the intent on traveling by snowmobile to the town of Inuvik, Northwest Territories. The Wellness Camp is located at the 14km mark of the East Branch River. Lance was last seen leaving the Wellness Camp on a black 2024 Ski-Doo Expedition, 900, ACE snowmobile.
