My mom has been gone 5 years now and she always told me to be careful what you say because you can't take it back. Sometimes, I find it very difficult, especially on WS, but I do honor her memory and bite my tongue many times. You all can say what you want and I'll give you a thanks if you're thinking the way I am.

O/T - I'm watching my sister's dog in addition to my own two this weekend. I have two dogs terrified of fireworks and am so thankful that one of mine is deaf.

My Mom used to tell us not to talk bad when mad about family because you couldn't take it back and people will remember it. That may be good advice until you need to talk to someone about domestic violence. Too many people are too ashamed to talk about it with anyone.

Maybe this relates to the case somewhat. It doesn't sound like things were as stable in the Horman household as I first thought. The choice to push for marriage counseling and some record of it would be so much better to uncover than asking the lawnman to do away with your DD.
Seems to point more to greed than feeling emotionally unhappy in the marriage.

The questionaires must have helped, as well, in pin pointing exactly what parts of TH's story was a lie. I have to agree with some other posters that it seems amazing if no other parent or school person or neighbor didn't have a video or pic or info that could help.

I feel much more confident the case is moving along.

Prayers for Kyron and those who love him.

BBM Yes, I think you hit the nail on the head there. Notice, when asked if anyone saw SM or Kyron leave the school the answer was "no comment". I really believe someone has been able to shed a little light on this. We are just going to have to be patient to find out exactly what.

That line shocked me so much my monocle fell into my Cabernet.

As is usual for me, the entire exchange went right over my head. When I realized that, I deleted the post. Thank you for preserving it! :-)

I have some very blonde moments, to paraphrase my husband and kids.

Why, just a few days ago, we were traveling down the expressway on the way home from a little vacation. There was an overpass, you know - one of those bridges for roads that goes over the expressway.

I saw a bicycle traveling across the overpass with no rider! I was so shocked. First thing I thought of was that a cyclist had been hit and his bike had flown down the street right side up.

Second thing I thought of was a ghost was riding the bike.

I excitedly told everyone to look, and we all watched it going across the bridge. It was a long bridge, too, and it was traveling pretty fast.

I couldn't figure out why everyone was laughing at me. Can you?

I agree completely. I believe the LEO quote in one of the articles today about being able to answer many more questions soon is not a bluff for the sake of putting pressure on Terri. I believe they do have far more than we knew. This has renewed my faith that they are really on the ball with this case.

ok im done...had enough.

if this is true, she has committed conspiricy to commit murder, and there is probable cause for her arrest.

so why isnt she under arrest? why is LE sitting on there thumbs? why dont they use this as leverage to find kyron?

im so sick of the incompetence in this case.

Tomorrow's another day, but unless someone calls NG she may not know about the lawn man. Get ready for some spin like while Daddy was at work StepMom was devising his death. This is one of NG's favs - the wife hiring a hitman - so she's going to love this.

Good Night Everybody until tomorrow. (someone said this news broke at 4 a.m. last night so wake me if anything else happens)

OK, let me be serious here for a minute. As I have posted before my 1st husband was very abusive and many times I was sure he was going to kill me. Have had guns put in my mouth, choked to unconsciousness, beaten to a pulp, had chunk of my scalp pulled off....on and on. He was a biker and so many skeezy creatures came and went through our homes. I could have probably easily found someone who would have taken care of him for me. There were many nights I laid in bed and wished him dead, I cannot lie. It gave me some comfort, even, to imagine how I could kill him myself. BUT I NEVER EVER SERIOUSLY ENTERTAINED THE THOUGHT, I think it was a defense or survival mechanism in my own mind, to give myself a little bit of "power" in a situation where I was powerless. I truly thought he would eventually kill himself drunk riding or doing drugs, or drink himself to death. I still feel guilty to this day for laying in bed praying he would somehow be killed so me and my children would be free of that beast.
Terri, from all we know so far, was NOT a beaten, abused woman. She probably could have kicked Kaines a$$, truth be told. I cannot imagine being so evil that you would actually move forward with a plan to have your spouse killed, and then (possibly) move forward with a secondary plan of killing that spouses defenseless little boy instead. I know it happenes everyday, I read about women plotting to kill their spouses in the news all the time. But what it APPEARS Terri has done goes beyond the pale. I am just so aghast at all that has transpired I swear it makes Casey Anthony pale in comparison, in my mind.
I don't think this heartless excuse for a human being has Kyron stashed anywhere, who would be feeding him and caring for him? Nobody would want to be involved in such a nationwide case, IMO. Someone would have dropped him off somewhere a long time ago and fled as far away as they could, if she had left him with someone else.
Neither do I believe some predator got extremely lucky and managed to snatch Kyron at school in the few nanoseconds he would have had to grab him after Terri and Kyron parted ways. Terris story does not hold water, IMO, and I think she has done something terrible to that little boy and it makes me sick to think of what that little boy went through.
I am not a very religious person but it does give me a small measure of comfort that if Terri does not get whats coming to her in this life, God will see to it that she gets what she fully deserves in the afterlife. And as far as being able to, at the last minute, ask God for forgiveness and all is forgiven, I hope God turns a blind ear to her request and sends her straight to hell, and I further hope once she gets to hell, she is seated right next to my ex husband. The two of them deserve each other.

Don't worry, you are not alone -- my blonde goes brain-deep more often than not!

I loved it, RC. It is nice for a little levity to be injected occasionally in such tragic and sad cases. It's a real stress-buster, and your post was icing on the cake, even if not intended that way. You did good!

The gardner must have had a heart attack when he saw "kyron missing" in the newspaper. Hmmm kill husband...child missing, I wonder if there is a connection? Should I call the police? BTW, I would have waited about 4 or 5 years not 6 months to kill someone after I tried to hire a hitman. She leaves a trial like a snail.

12 years probation!!!!! Is it a felony then? If it is, she could not pass a background check for a teaching license.

This is an excellent point. She may have been able to still get a teaching position if she just had a DUI (In Canada anyway) but wasn't there another charge stemming from having her 11 year old son in the car at the time? If so, her career as a teacher would have been over, unless the US has the same easy access to paid for pardons for even the most heinous crimes after 10 years (it was only 5 years up until last week) that Canadian criminals currently enjoy.

I think they may have had some work to do to make the murder for hire charge something more than a "he said - she said" thing that won't stick. Hopefully they found interesting stuff on her computer. Or something...

I agree with you totally about domestic violence and my mom would never have told me to be quiet about that. As I stated earlier, I would have liked to be a fly on the wall in that home over the last year and IMO, we've only seen the beginning. IMO, many more layers to come.

I agree. I also believe they knew very well that this was going to come out. Maybe are even working with the media to tighten the screws on TH. Im hoping things play out the way they think it will and we will be getting "more info" soon.

Hilarious post! I must say you hit the nail on the head. Really, how does anyone bring up that topic??? What nerve that must take. (let alone what kind of perverted mind that must take)

I can't imagine anyone doing that in real life....and yet, we hear about it time and again. It't one thing if you typically travel in crime circles, but if you're a housewife and mom, you're definitely not hanging with the right peeps. (Wait a minute...who else works out at that gym??? and what can performance enhancing drugs do to your mindset?)

BBM.. Higher levels of testosterone have been known to produce some ugly behavorial results, however IMHO...I believe it is equally important to understand the mindset of a person who would choose to use performance enhancing drugs in the first place......JMO

You have to have more than someone's word against another in order to have probable cause for an arrest. I believe that's what they were trying to achieve with the clandestine recording of the meeting between lawnguy, Terri and undercover LE.

They may have developed other evidence that would allow for an arrest but are sitting on it and determining how best to use it in context of the case of Kyron's disappearance. Several possibilities. Patience...if she solicited murder and they can get the proof, she'll be charged in good time.

I don't think that this weird stuff takes away from Kyron at all. It keeps him in the public eye. The public gets very jaded and loses interest quickly. Now he will continue to be in the forefront even though it may be through this craziness.

I live out in the country in a different state, but very similar to the Hormans living situation.

People are always shooting off guns; target practice, squirrels, whatever.

No one blinks an eye.

Why no arrest yet? Where are the angry villagers with pitchforks and torches parading in front of her house? Maybe they are being bused in from Florida.

  • #1,059
well if they really believe kyron is still alive they all have a funny way of showing urgency of getting him back.

I'd imagine that they can't arrest her because they don't have enough evidence to get a warrant. Having the landscaper say "well, Terri offered me money to kill her husband.." isn't going to be enough evidence.
