How did TH want her husband killed??? or buried?

He would have to be found right away as it takes a few years to declare them dead-is it 7? I don't think that she could get insurance until then.

The large sum of money would have to come from somewhere unless she's been "squirreling" it away.

Why isn't she arrested for planning a murder for hire ???

that's why they wired the guy. Otherwise, there may not be proof enough to arrest her.

This is getting confusing. I think its two landscapers. One was supposedly asked to do the deed of murder and the other wasnt. IIRC law enforcement went to interview anyone that had connection to the family, and this is what they found. I had never heard before that the ls asked to kill KH went to police; it was reported on NG that he did NOT report it, until now, when they interviewed him. Supposedly he was offered this job of murder in November. Good grief, if thats the case, and LE did nothing at the time (if he did infact report it, which I dont think he did), they certainly dropped the ball. Im wondering too now, if this LS didnt do work on the school as well.....

Last I knew trying to hire someone to murder your spouse is illegal and cause for arrest. What am I missing that this has not occurred in this case?

I want to give this a shot....

The landscaper has only reported this recently = Cops just found out = no arrest (yet).

Since it was a he said/she said type of scenario - cops wired up & tried to get Terri to admit it on tape = she didnt = cops back off to get ducks in a row = no arrest (yet).

Now, had Terri said something to the wired landscaper & undercover cop --- I think that would have gotten her arrested - possibly on the spot - ala sting type operation.

That's a very good question.I keep thinking of ACDC's song Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.I honestly can't believe LE believed this guys story.I really hope they are looking into him more.

Yes, this is exactly the way I understood it.

So far we have the guy that is working with police.

Then, this landscaper contacted TH after hearing she needed some work done.

A day after word breaks that the stepmother of missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman tried to hire a landscaper to kill her husband Kaine, another landscaper tells KXL that he followed up on a third-party lead. Identifying himself as Zach of All-American Cleaning and Landscape, he says he called and emailed Terri Horman several times with no response in late April and early May when she was looking for "yard clean-up on a medium-sized yard". He feels that he just didn't fit what she was looking for. Zach called into the Lars Larson show.

ETA: In the interview, Zach does say he was contacted by police about 2 weeks ago to follow up on anyone she had contacted with.

...and another...

Police have confirmed a report that Terri Horman tried to pay another as yet unnamed landscaper to kill her husband, Kaine Horman, in 2009. That landscaper reportedly contacted police after the alleged murder for hire offer.

It is so hard to believe that no landscaper thought to mention any of this until AFTER this all happens. Amazing!

I am also guessing that they followed the Craiglist trail to find these landscapers. Maybe they got it from her computer.

--- just reread, looks like one landscaper did report this at the time it happened - per KATU. If that is the case, why didn't they follow up????

I merged the two threads. Having multiple landscaper threads was making my head spin more than it already is! LOL! The thread title changed too.

This is unreal, IMO.

This I'm interested in.Was there really a fresh patch of grass?I really hope LE put a cadaver dog on that. That would just be stupid is as stupid does to bury someone on your own property.

Why wasn't she arrested when she contacted the first landscaper?? Mess is right!!

One attempted hiring appears to have happened in May 2009 and another in November 2009. So there were at least two incidents and maybe two different landscapers.
